What Is Your Why?
Before diving into the community, let us know your why. Here is mine! When I was running my shop, I wore many hats—marketing, sales, and operations—all rolled into one. In today's corporate lingo, you'd call this RevOps. My biggest issue wasn't closing deals or generating leads. It was overworking myself to the brink. Picture this: It's 7 PM, and I'm having dinner with my now-wife. A lead comes in, and what do I do? I stop everything and make that call. Our dinners were constantly interrupted. Weekends were no better. I'd be walking through the mall, enjoying a rare day off, and I'd drop everything to chase a lead. The most eye-opening moment? My bachelor party. There I was, in the middle of taking a shot, when my lead tech called me. He needed help with a customer drop-off. Even in that moment of celebration, I couldn't escape the demands of my business. Back then, we didn't have the sophisticated tools we have today. No HubSpot, no HighLevel. We made do with Google Sheets and Grasshopper as our "CRM." I was the go-to guy for every problem, every lead, every issue. The Turning Point That call during my bachelor party was a wake-up call. I realized I needed to ensure my team could function without me. If I got hit by a bus, the business had to keep running. I became obsessed with creating a system where my employees could make decisions on their own, freeing me from the constant interruptions and allowing me to focus on what truly mattered—my life and my family.
