Time for a Snooze
I always said I would never do pet portraits because I didn’t want to get pigeonholed and taken away from my safari wildlife niche ….. I guess some rules are made to be broken.

That artwork reminds me of two lab mix puppies we adopted many years ago, and I would say based on my experience, that STILL is in the wildlife niche (when not napping) 😜
Happy MONDAY! ⚡️ What's your MOST IMPORTANT GOAL this week?
⚡️Identify your most important goal, and then get it done! Mine: Since I'm going out of town next week (I'll be gone 10 days - so you won't hear much from me!) ✅My MOST IMPORTANT GOAL is to finish planning out the rest of the SELL ART WITH EMAIL CLINIC lessons. ✅For extra credit, my 2ND MOST IMPORTANT GOAL: Is to send an email out to Drew's Fans, announcing new Blankets and some SALE items. What's yours? Drop 👇🏽 in the comments below for accountability.

I have an art show/sale next weekend and on track with all the prep, but still trying to finish a few pieces I think might do well. Got enough to sell, but nothing like a deadline to motivate
Day 30 - 30 Day Challenge "Sell More Art!" 🎨
Day 30: Reflection & Craft Your Elevator Pitch We’ve made it to the final day! Congratulations!! Give yourself a big tap on your back! The challenge wasn't easy so you can be proud of yourself! Today’s Focus: 1. Reflect on Your Journey - List 3 good things that came out of this challenge for your personal growth - Also list 1 thing you now know you need to work on 2. Create Your 3-Sentence Elevator Pitch - Summarize your art introduction from day 27 to 3 clear sentences that describe your art and who it is for. - Example: “I create sculpture like artworks that captures the feeling of abundance and living a life of your dreams, perfect for people who believe in the law of attraction.” - You can then use this to introduce your art in live when people ask you what you do or even send it to people. It’s much more interesting than just “I am an artist” :D  Bonus Action: Send Your Pitch to one person and include a link so they can see your art (could be per Email, whatsapp, facebook, instagram etc) Share in the Comments: - What are 3 good things that came out of this challenge for your personal growth? - What is 1 thing you now know you need to work on? - Share with us your elevator pitch too Well done guys! Even if you couldn't finish every task you can still be proud of yourself! Make sure to celebrate yourself today!

3 things: 1) I got out my comfort zone and pretty much announced to most of my circles that I am creating art 2) I feel acceptance into the culture of creators. Art can be a solitary endeavor but it is good to find "your people". 3) Putting what I learned in my MBA (reinforced here for sure) to work for my own creative pursuits. ONE thing I need to do is to keep working to build "my community" or "fan club" and then create work that will be sustaining to all of us. Elevator pitch: I hand carve and hand print images evoking nature and our place in it. With my work I hope to evoke responses that remind people how important it is to sustain all parts of our world. (Yep, I'll use part of that in my announcement to the show) Wow 30 days. Know that while I was shy in sharing and commenting, all your comments about your actions, and reactions have been very helpful to me. I appreciate the newbies, being one and the experienced for all your shared.

Day 23 - 30 Day Challenge "Sell More Art!" 🎨
Day 23: Keep Pushing! Today is all about turning “maybe” into “yes.” Focus on closing sales and following up with interested buyers. If you don't have any people that are a maybe and could move to a yes, don't worry just keep reaching out to new people. Today’s Focus: 1. Ask for a Commitment Reach out to anyone unsure. Offer to hold the piece for them or ask for a deposit. 2. Create Urgency Send 3-5 messages to remind people about limited availability or special deals. A little push can help them decide. 3. Follow Up with Hot Leads (people that showed interest or people you already build a relationship with) Focus on people who are close to buying. Keep it simple, ask if they’re ready to purchase. Share in the Comments: - How many people did you ask for a commitment today? - Did you get a “yes” or deposit? - How did your follow-ups go? - Or did you just reach out to new people? Let’s turn those “maybes” into “yes” today! 💸🎨

@Lenore Ava Jaffe Well, haven't checked them out yet fully, but knowing there is an "international printing museum" here in So. Cal is pretty cool.

@Linda Sholberg Sounds like what I've been doing, though more with Linocuts than wood blocks but I do both. As I do more in that realm I am eager to learn some of the more advanced techniques so I can realize my vision more. Yes time consuming for sure but fun.
Day 28 - 30 Day Challenge "Sell More Art!" 🎨
Day 28: Creative Outreach & The Power of Storytelling Today, let’s level up our outreach by adding a creative twist. This isn’t just about sending messages, it’s about telling a story that resonates with your potential buyers. Share the heart behind your art and make it personal. People love connecting with the "why" behind the work! Today’s Focus: 1. Send 5-10 Story-Based Messages - When reaching out today, tell a brief story about the piece you're offering. Why did you create it? What inspired you? This helps potential buyers feel connected and more excited to buy. 2. Follow Up Creatively - Instead of just asking if they’re still interested, share a unique detail or emotion tied to your art. Maybe even share a sneak peek of what you’re working on next. Keep it engaging and different. 3. Keep The Draft - Keep the draft and improve it based on the feedback from our members. We are going to use it soon. Share in the Comments: - How did storytelling change your outreach today? - Did it help you connect more with potential buyers? Let’s goooo, you got this!! 🎨

I got together info for a bigger push over the weekend with the locations of the art show. Will contact everyone I've already contacted, and maybe a few more. Trying to make it compelling and informative because it has to include details (maps have not yet been provided to us)
