How to sell more Art?
This question pops up again and again. There are multiple ways to get sales. I'm going to just share one here right now in this post: Where has your art sold before? Who bought it? How did they find it? What did it take to get them to purchase? Look at what worked with your last three sales, and duplicate it. So simple, but so easily overlooked by us. We often miss the opportunities because we are so busy making the art. Look at what worked in the past, and do it again. And again. And again. And do it more. And do it better. And master it. I've done this with newsletters over the years. I learned how to grow the list and then sell to the list. And I've gotten really good at writing it in a way to get people to open it, read it and then take action (buy). Also with Art Shows (LIVE EXHIBITS). I've studied what worked and then did it again and again, only better, each time. So, look at your past sales and ask, "How can I do it again? How can I do it better? How can I do it often? How can I reach more people in the same way?" *PHOTO BELOW: We find that photographing my husband Drew holding a painting, with a pretty outside background, gets attention. We use the photos for social media posts, newsletters and his website. People love to see art in this way. Comment below - did this help?! xoxo

How to sell more Art?

I have no experience in selling my art online or on social, I started sharing a little bit on IG 3 years ago. It happened thanks to exhibition where every artist had to add some contact under the painting so people can find them. I had nothing back then 😳. Therefore so far I sold my paintings mostly on people`s request in person only to friends or their friends. I can say that people are wiling to buy my art, its me who is not offering it for purchase, yet 😉. I am working on it.

Day 10 - 30 Day Challenge "Sell More Art!" 🎨
Day 10: Add Value with Handwritten Notes Today, we’ll focus on deepening your connection with past collectors by adding a personal touch. Writing handwritten notes can make a lasting impression and remind them of their love for your work. Today's Action Steps: 1. Write Handwritten Notes to Past Collectors: - Pick 2-5 past collectors from the list you made yesterday. - Write them a personal, handwritten note thanking them for their past support. - Mention how much you appreciate them and give a little update about what you’ve been working on. (for example I am working on a new project "Life Vision Paintings" and I won't sell it in the hand written notes but I will just mention it to eventually get them curious.) 2. Include a Small Extra: - Consider adding something small to the note, like a discount code for future purchases or a postcard of one of your recent works. This shows you value their continued support. 3. Continue Reaching Out to New People: - While nurturing past collectors, keep up with your commitment to reach out to 5-10 new people today. Remember: - Personal touches matter: A handwritten note shows genuine appreciation and builds stronger relationships. - Add value: Consider giving them something extra to encourage future purchases. @Lenore Ava Jaffe The most important learning for me was that people want to know what inspires an artist and they love to see finished artwork. Work in progress shots were the least interesting :-)

Day 30: Reflection & Craft Your Elevator Pitch We’ve made it to the final day! Congratulations!! Give yourself a big tap on your back! The challenge wasn't easy so you can be proud of yourself! Today’s Focus: 1. Reflect on Your Journey - List 3 good things that came out of this challenge for your personal growth - Also list 1 thing you now know you need to work on 2. Create Your 3-Sentence Elevator Pitch - Summarize your art introduction from day 27 to 3 clear sentences that describe your art and who it is for. - Example: “I create sculpture like artworks that captures the feeling of abundance and living a life of your dreams, perfect for people who believe in the law of attraction.” - You can then use this to introduce your art in live when people ask you what you do or even send it to people. It’s much more interesting than just “I am an artist” :D  Bonus Action: Send Your Pitch to one person and include a link so they can see your art (could be per Email, whatsapp, facebook, instagram etc) Share in the Comments: - What are 3 good things that came out of this challenge for your personal growth? - What is 1 thing you now know you need to work on? - Share with us your elevator pitch too Well done guys! My elevator pitch: "I'm a watercolor artist and scientist. I find beauty in every subject and I sense the world in watercolor. My work blends art with curiosity, inviting you to see things from a new perspective and appreciate timeless moments." This challenge was tough in a good way. I learned about myself that I am better in painting, writing, planning and doing all kind of other useful things except reaching out to people proactively. Next for me is to get more out of my own head and connect with people. I also realized that I have so many ways to do that :-) These 30 days went fast.

This isn’t just about sending messages, it’s about telling a story that resonates with your potential buyers. Share the heart behind your art and make it personal. People love connecting with the "why" behind the work! Today’s Focus: 1. Send 5-10 Story-Based Messages - When reaching out today, tell a brief story about the piece you're offering. Why did you create it? What inspired you? This helps potential buyers feel connected and more excited to buy. 2. Follow Up Creatively - Instead of just asking if they’re still interested, share a unique detail or emotion tied to your art. Maybe even share a sneak peek of what you’re working on next. Keep it engaging and different. 3. Keep The Draft - Keep the draft and improve it based on the feedback from our members. We are going to use it soon.
