The most Excruciating Question to ask.
Today I will not give advice but rather make you understand us, people with too many interests. As a person with so many interests and hobbies, I always get very anxious when someone asks me, "So what is your hobby? " How do I respond that I don't have A hobby, I have too many hobbies. Singing, Dancing, Rapping, Debating, Acting, Writing, Painting, Sketching, Character designing, Video Editing, Programming, Learning a new language, Karate, playing Football and even sewing are part of my thousands of hobbies and the fact that I have tried all of them scares me. That's why most of the time, I start the convo. Cause Ik I will be interested in whatever they say. I watch kdramas, cdramas, jdramas, Bollywood, Hollywood, anime, manhwas, mangas, play video games(If you play HOK please tell me), marvel-DC type movies, listen to K music, C music, J music, American ones, Indian ones, Bangal ones, Even some Tagalog and Philippine ones. So, please don't ask me that question, just lemme start the convo if you may. 🗿

Okay, okay...I mean, okay, if someone thinks having too many interests is strange, that's their limitation, not yours.
4 Years Later... It Finally Paid Off
Yesterday was one of the best days I've had, and I wanted to share some experiences that I think will help you better understand this world and navigate through it. Since 7th grade, I was that kid who watched countless videos on YouTube, constantly wondering, "How does YouTube even know what I'm watching? Why does Google Search show me results similar to what I wanted to search for?" Being curious but clueless, I decided to search for "How does YouTube work?" I still remember a video by Tom Scott where he explained how they use deep learning and machine learning to suggest videos. This was about 4-5 years ago. While the core principles remain the same, the algorithms have become more robust over time. That’s when I became truly fascinated by machine learning (ML). From that point on, I delved deeper into the field—reading research papers, watching explanatory videos, and learning about deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and neural networks. It was awesome! My curiosity was insatiable, and I often felt a bit sad that I hadn't discovered these interests earlier. But hey, I know them now, and that's what matters. Simply watching videos and reading papers wasn’t enough to truly understand and apply these concepts, so I started my coding journey. My first programming language was... haha, you’re probably thinking Python, right? Nope, it was HTML. I know, I know—it’s not a programming language. But I was just a kid who didn't quite understand what that meant, so I started with the basics of web development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These aren’t AI-related, but that’s what my brother suggested, so I listened to him. However, my real journey began with Python—the first true programming language I learned. I’ve spent countless hours mastering it. For all those people out there, Python is just normal English! Don’t say you don’t know how to code in Python unless you don’t know English—that’s a different story. Maybe try Bhailang for all you Hindi-speaking folks out there (you know what I mean! 😂).

@Rudaiba Tarannum Okay!
Life is unfair.
Welcome to another episode of 'Me giving advice as my mom chases me to study." So today's one is more of a life advice and less of an academic one. Why did I think of this? Here's why- I went to a debate competition today. As a nervous fella, I usually stutter a lot when under pressure, yet today I did so well that even I was surprised. My team was in the proposition with lots of good arguments and I myself pointed out almost all of their arguments and proved them wrong, while my other teammates also pointed out their some. Our opposition team made mistake after mistake. They didn't answer my Point of information or question which usually deducts marks, they couldn't finish in their given time, which also deducts marks, their 3rd speaker started speaking in the motion's proposition and said sorry in the middle of the debate for doing so and they didn't utter the main concept of the debate and went along with only explaining that one word. In the end, the opposition team cried cause they didn't do well. But guess what? They won. Even they were surprised at how they had won. The judges gave pieces of advice before our results and most of them were for the opposition team as they made many mistakes. The funny thing is, the judges even praised our 2nd speaker and me the 3rd speaker. I mean like how? Anyway, the main point is life is unfair. There is nothing you can do but move on. p.s. this feels more like a rant and less like advice, now that I read it.🤡

It's super hard to process when you do everything right, speaking well despite your nerves, making strong arguments, following all the rules, and still don't get the outcome you deserve. And having the judges praise you but still give the win to the other team? Yeah...not fun. While "life is unfair" is true, I'd actually spin this experience a bit differently: you discovered that you're capable of delivering an amazing debate performance, even under pressure. That's a huge personal win, regardless of the official result. The confidence and skills you showed today will serve you well in future debates and life situations. Sometimes our biggest victories aren't winning but about proving to ourselves what we're capable of. You know what's also kind of impressive? Your ability to recognize and acknowledge the unfairness while still maintaining perspective. That's a really mature outlook! Sure, this post might feel like a rant (and you totally have the right to rant), but sharing experiences like this can help others deal with similar situations. Results don't always reflect reality, but your skills and growth are real and permanent. Besides, sometimes the most memorable lessons come from the outcomes we don't expect! (Also, writing this while being chased to study is pretty hilarious, hope you managed to escape!)

@Nowshin Jahan Jhelek Agree! (Better luck next time!)
Does Sadness Really Dominate Happiness?
Ok, today was one of those days that I really don’t like to have, and I don’t even know why I have them. I was sad, but I can’t pinpoint a reason for being sad or mad. There might be a cause, but no clear reason for how I’m feeling right now. Like, idk. My day started as one of my best days—finally getting the thing I’d asked for months, even if it was at 4:40 AM. It was awesome! The morning went well, but then something happened (the cause), and from that point on, I lost my grip. I don’t know why I’m feeling sad or mad; there’s a cause but no reason for my reactions. But that overwhelmed me really badly—so much so that even multiple pieces of good news couldn’t lift my mood. From that early morning win to getting into something I wanted, nothing seemed to help. And now, even nine hours later, I still feel this way. I don’t like it, and I don’t know how to stop it because I can’t even identify what started it. Idk, does sadness really dominate happiness this much? "Remember when I used to joke about being a tiny kid? Now I feel smaller than ever, hiding in a luggage of my own thoughts."

@Daniel Y Thanks but I know those things won't work and the only thing that works almost every time is CRY. But thanks, Dan. You are my lucky charm.
Quotes of the Week 1
Quote 1: “For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” - Amanda Gorman, The Hill We Climb Quote 2: “We can never give up longing and wishing while we are thoroughly alive. There are certain things we feel to be beautiful and good, and we must hunger after them.” - George Eliot, The Mill on the Floss Quote 3: "Do not be fooled by commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what outside, but what is inside that counts." - The Peddler, Aladdin Quote 4: “To laugh at yourself, is to love yourself.” - Mickey Mouse Quote 5: “Don’t rush and never settle. If it’s meant to be, it will be.” - Ashton Kutcher Quote 6: “We need women who are so strong they can be gentle, so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined they can be free.” - Kevita Ramadas Quote 7: “Ideals are strengthened by the challenges they endure.” - Courier Six, Fallout: New Vegas Quote 8: “You mustn't allow yourself to be chained to fate, to be ruled by your genes. Human beings can choose the kind of life that they want to live. What's important is that you choose life... and then live.” - Naomi, Metal Gear Solid Amanda S. C. Gorman was born on March 7th, 1998 and is an American poet, activist, and model. Her poem which is being quoted was recited on January 20th, 2021 during the inauguration of Joe Biden in Washington, D.C. Her recitation of this quote also marked her as the youngest individual to give an inaugural poet as she was 22 years old. The poem was commended for its wording and praised for its message of unity. Gorman’s other work focuses on oppression, feminism, race, marginalization, and African diaspora. Gorman is also famous for being the first National Youth Poet Laureate. Gorman’s poem describes America’s political state as of the 2020 election and also references other pieces of media like the Bible and Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton play (which Miranda praised Gorman for). Her poem was also described by critics to have significance even after the election.
