Microsoft Fabric Bootcamp Event
Last Saturday I have attended "Microsoft Fabric Bootcamp Event" at Microsoft Office in Hyderabad Campus. The Live In-Person event was just amazing experience. Got an opportunity to meet with Microsoft Program Managers , Product Development Manager of Fabric Team from Microsoft , MVP's, MCT's etc. Here are my top takeaways: - Microsoft Fabric: unified platform for data services - Data Warehousing: manage data with ease - Medallion Architecture: organize data for better insights - Microsoft Fabric Notebooks: create and analyze data with PySpark - Real-time Intelligence: transform industries with real-time data - Custom Semantic Models: visualize and interpret data with Power BI Thanks to all the speakers and organizers for a fantastic event! #HDAC #MicrosoftFabric #DataAnalytics" @Will Needham It was a great learning experience !!

@Will Needham The most interesting part was...Surya Teja who is Product owner showcased real-time intelligence using Microsoft Fabric by playing Forza Horizon 5, where he monitored car telemetry data while seamlessly changing car models. πŸ”„ Alerts were triggered based on telemetry conditions, highlighting the power of real-time data streaming and analytics. He also demonstrated this earlier on Youtube channel can check in the below link . https://www.youtube.com/live/gkudWz2blPo

Last chance to get discounted access to Fabric Dojo
Fabric Dojo is a new paid community I launched last week. In short, Fabric Dojo is a learning community to help you master Fabric Analytics Engineering, through hands-on exercises, mini-projects, plus constant support through live coaching calls and a supportive community. We've been open for one week now, and it's buzzing in there now, with 65 members already and growing every day! In 24 hours, the super early-bird price for Fabric Dojo membership (just $19/m) will be gone. This is the lowest cost it will ever be again, so if you're thinking about it, I recommend doing it quickly! And you can prepay for 12 months and get an even more discounted rate. If you want to learn more, I made a module here in the Classroom to tell you more about it. - About Fabric Dojo - Intro to Fabric Dojo Webinar - DP002 🟒 IoT project [Sample Project] - Feedback from students And if you're thinking "ah man, I would love to, but can't afford it at the moment" - I'm introducing two new ways to earn free membership passes for Fabric Dojo: - Each month here in the Learn Microsoft Fabric (free) community, the top three members on the Leaderboard will receive a free one-month pass into the Fabric Dojo. - If you reach Level 7 here in the Learn Microsoft Fabric (free) community, you will get a 3-month free pass for Fabric Dojo. You can learn a lot in three months! See your current level here. Still not sure how to earn points, read this, but simply you should provide high-value posts in the community, help others, and you will get likes, and likes==points.

Future of Power Query vs Python for ETL in Fabric
Power Query (Dataflows gen2) has a user friendly GUI to generate ETL code, and hand coding is occasionally required to handle tricky cases. In contrast, impelemting ETL in Python mostly involves hand writing code. What is the future direction in MS Fabric in terms of Power Query vs Python? Is Power Query engine being improved so that Python will not be required? Or, is Python going to be the de-facto ETL language in Fabric? Instead of investing in time and effort to master both of these languages, is it worthwhile to focus on one and master it?

@Surm Man Great Question and the answers already explains very informative points. Both are going to stay with different use case and coming back to Python ...The Co-Pilot is going to make the job easy to write the code as well in coming days...that's the impact of AI that we are going to see with the help of Co-Pilot !!
