Hey y’all, I’ve been working in the film industry for my whole life . I started young as a child actor , I worked on student films doing every little project I could do. I got into an arts high school in Los Angeles. When I was a kid I always liked the grips they would hold a lil pizza box bounce to fill me in ,and were always so nice on set as a kid on small film projects, I had the opportunity after high school to get in to local 80 . Now I’m a Dolly grip and grip on larger network shows and thing along that line. My passion has always been to tell stories, I am moving into shooting my own music videos and commercial & narrative projects I own an extensive kit Sony fx9 with full a.K.S . I have a nice G&E package so much that I need a storage unit to hold all my gear . Now I’m at the point where I wanna DOP and direct professionally and really work with new artist . I don’t even wanna make money anymore I just wanna make art. I feel to many people give up on there dreams and just focus on the money. I believe money will come , I just have to make the art I wanna make 🖼️ . Does anyone know how to get more gigs as a DOP& Director ? Or does anyone need one? I’d love to help on your project. Follow the rules, color inside the lines, don't rock the boat. But where has that gotten us? Stuck in mediocrity, playing it safe. It's time to flip the script. This week, I stopped asking "why?" and started asking "why not?" Why not take that risk? Why not chase that crazy dream? Why not let your voice be heard? You see, in our community, we believe in empowering each other. We share resources, amplify voices, and lead by example. And this week's lesson? Leading by example means having the courage to do what others won't. Why not be the one who steps out of your comfort zone? Why not be the catalyst for change in your community? After all, if not you, then who? I'm not saying it will be easy. Embracing the "why not" mindset means leaving perfectionism behind. It means taking messy action and learning as you go. This community is over a year in the making. For over five years, I've held space, dedicated to addressing the silence felt by so many seeking answers. People asked for help and received no real-world solutions due to barriers like proximity, access to networks, reference letters, or simply finding someone willing to help. Honestly, ever since I filmed God's Plan, I've felt a strong need, a strong presence, and a desire to ensure that the next chapter of my life would be dedicated to serving others. My goal is to give back what I can and make a difference, because I can while leveraging my success in the industry, marketplaces and business world to uplift others. Every accolade and achievement mirrors moments of reflection and growth. From working on major franchise films to collaborating with industry mentors, my path has been about breaking barriers and inspiring those close enough to feel seen. Our mission is simple: to provide, protect, and pursue building a supportive community where shared knowledge and resources help filmmakers at all skill levels achieve their full potential.
