Sharpening the Saw Poll
My dad is a woodsman and he’s got a firewood business that is just about as old as I am. He loves the Abraham Lincoln quote, “If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend the first six of them sharpening my axe.” As leaders and people who I know care about those around us, I ask you how do you sharpen your saw? How do you take care of yourself in order to perform your work at the highest levels? Crucially, where do you look to develop your saw sharpening skills? (Please comment). One thing I think works wonders is a nice meditative shower. Get the water going and really take note of where the water falls on you and how it feels and visualize it rinsing negative energy off of you. It really gets me ready to handle something I think will require my best energy.
