@Enricko Lukman Thanks man. Not sure when I'll finish but will let you know.
Any Idea?
Where can I find an informal community or group online for the PR niche like consultants or agencies? I have tried to find out on some social media platforms but I haven't found any.

Aside from here :p The best resource I've found is Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicRelations/ You can also search LinkedIn groups.
Client Acquisition??
Do PR agencies actively look for new leads each month, or is client acquisition more periodic or based on project needs. Are they open to have exclusive and qualified leads into their pipeline, and willing to pay for that?

As I posted on X earlier, leads come from everywhere! - Your network/recommendations - Inbound via LinkedIn, X, Reddit etc - Email newsletters/marketing/outreach - Your websites - SEO - Your personal brand/content

@Tanishq Kumawat I think having a pipeline of leads is awesome. Better that than no leads.
State of Journalism and Media in 2024 (article)
If you want an in-depth look at the state of journalism and the media today, look no further than New York Magazine's excellent article, which came out a couple of days ago. It gathers insights from 57 (!) insiders, focusing on how legacy and new media companies adapt to survive. Here are some of the key takeaways: - Collapse of Traditional Revenue Models: Newspapers lost revenue to tech companies like Facebook and Google - New Business Strategies: Subscription models and niche content are becoming crucial for survival. - Role of Platforms: Tech platforms like Apple News and YouTube now serve as major distributors of journalism. - Uncertain Power Structures: The ability to influence public discourse has shifted from traditional media to figures like Elon Musk and platforms like TikTok. - Challenges in Local News: Local journalism is struggling big time, with hedge funds often buying and gutting papers. - AI and the Future: Media executives express both anxiety and cautious optimism about AI. Journalism and freedom of the press are cornerstones of democracy and are worth fighting for. What do you think? @Tanishq Kumawat No one single primary channel right now. Inbound and outbound, social vs paid. That may change dunno.
Influencers and journalists (opinion)
I saw on X/Twitter a few days ago perhaps the world's best tech influencer, Marques Brownlee, aka 'MKBHD,' getting roasted for getting a Tesla charging spec wrong. I worked with Marques and his team as a PR manager on some projects while at a smartphone brand. Why does this even matter? My opinion: - The benefit of working with “influencers” for product news/reviews is that you’re hitting a lot of social followers. - Far more than any one particular journalist and some influencers have more followers now than legacy media outlets. - There's something else: often, as a brand, you don't have to worry about the review being anything other than provided talking points — with zero scrutiny. - Many companies - not just Apple - now do this. Indeed, some of the largest brands in our era have been built this way; just look at Fashion with Shein 'hauls' or crypto 'bros' tweeting about coins. - Marques made a mistake based on his own judgment to which Tesla corrected. Big deal? Maybe. It may or may not influence people's purchasing decisions. - Journalists get it wrong, too; I've seen it countless times and had to step in to correct it while working at a brand.
