Drawing Pokemon as military soldiers for a class final, can you guess who this is? (there is some hints in the sketches)

With his kingdom lost to time, the Royal Guard Captain of the Crystal Rose still roams the dark ruins, sworn to protect it until releaved of his duty. This challenge was indeed a challenge for me! I wanted to focus on making a stylized character with exaggerated shapes. The character went through A LOT of iterating, both before and after settling on a design. The camera reference was also very hard for me to incorporate without making anything ''tech-y'' so I ended up only using it loosely as a shape for the flower motif instead. Ulitimately I had a lot of fun and went for a dark souls inspired feel!

Used the bee for the wings , goggles and antenna hair The camera was used as general tech inspo for the hard surface and it's colors and the Gem was used for the colors and some patterning originally I was exploring some more green with the Hardlight pieces to be more green like the Bee, but I thought it was a bit too distracting.
