(Top secret) The genres that are selling the most copies...
In this short video I walk through the top selling genres in graphic novels. I'm not really supposed to share this data so don't pass it on! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Nbja4sKg9y1DQT-J4HHN2oYC4MBcQxQo/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=108270794179272644410&rtpof=true&sd=true

Publishing done myself
Is there a way & less expensive to publish my comic book myself cause I've talked to other places & they want close to a $1,000.00 just to get started I was like I don't know you like that at least buy me a drink 😄 but for real what route do you think I should go? I'm not finished yet only 5 pages in but just keeping it fluid & plotting the next scenes.

Colouring Vs. Black & White
Are there special considerations to keep in mind when deciding if I should have the illustrations coloured? Is there a generally-preferred route when it comes to colouring v. black and white for single issues, and/or graphic novels?

What's the best time for you to come to our live Q&A session?
Let me know when you'd like to have our live Q&A sessions! I do comics all day every day so it doesn't matter to me! Leave a comment if weekends are better but I think most people will prefer weekdays.

Fundraising opportunities for creators 💰
Keep in mind that the Canadian and US governments offer grants for comic and graphic novel creators! Your local state and municipal governments may also offer grants Canada: - Canada Council for the Arts – Explore and Create Program: Provides grants to support the research, development, and creation of new works, including graphic novels. - Canada Book Fund (CBF): Supports the production and marketing of Canadian-authored books, which may encompass graphic novels. United States: - National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) – Grants for Arts Projects: Literary Arts: Offers project-based funding to organizations for public engagement with literary arts, including graphic novels. - National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) – Creative Writing Fellowships: Provides grants to published creative writers, enabling them to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career advancement.
