I've got something exciting to share with you all! I landed a travel deal with this amazing villa for my vacation and got to stay there in exchange for content! 1 night usually costs around €400,- a night, how INSANE IS THAT?! But here's the best part, you don't need any followers to start landing these deals. I didn't have to post anything on my socials I just needed to make a few videos and photos of their stay. Here’s exactly what I did: 1. I put together a simple travel portfolio using 3 videos and a few photos from a villa I’d stayed at in Bali. 2. I started searching for beautiful properties on Instagram, Airbnb, Google, and booking. com 3. Then I sent out tons of pitches! I got lots of rejections until, finally, I landed not one but TWO travel deals! It wasn’t complicated; it just took some time and effort. Are you guys working with (Dutch) marketing companies or do you mostly work with pitches directly to brands and inbounds?

At the moment, I’m being approached by various companies that only want raw footage. That’s not necessarily a problem, but when they offer just a few dozen euros as compensation for it, that’s less appealing. With raw footage, companies can create endless amounts of content. How do you respond to this? For example: a company wants raw footage, 2 hooks, and offers 50 euros for it. They don’t specify what it will be used for or for how long... When I respond and indicate my rates, including extra fees for raw footage and usage rights, almost all companies back out. Is this because UGC (User-Generated Content) is still not well known in the Netherlands? Is it the companies themselves? Does this need to grow more in the Netherlands so that companies recognize its value?
