🙏❤️ Please pray for Claire! 🌻
Friends, one of our members is having a particularly difficult time. She's been in the ER a couple of times now since last week. A night ago was the second time, and she was there all night while they ran tests. Even worse, she was already scheduled to put her really old little dog, Jonah, down tomorrow. I don't know about you, but I don't think I could do both of these at the same time..meanwhile, she found out a friend of her's (Marie) had a growing case of demintia and no one knew that she wasn't really being cared for at home (as her husband had just become overwhelmed with it all) until she fell down the stairs. Thankfully, she's now in an aging facility being cared for, but all of this has avalanched Claire. Just lift her up when you think of it as you go about your day. Much love to you all! 🥀❤️

My church is in the middle of studying the book of Romans. Today was chapter. 12:3-8, and helping us find our identity in Christ. He said there are 3 main questions in life that everybody asks: 1. Who am I? (Identity) 2. Where do I fit/belong? Who is my group? (Security) 3. What’s my purpose, why am I here, what does He want me to do? And that there are 3 characteristics of all relationships from the time of the fall, forward: 1. Fear, rooted in shame 2. Hiding, rooted in insecurity 3. Blaming, rooted in denial And that in order to figure out your identity (in Christ), you must do 3 things: 1. Think accurately/soberly about yourself (your strengths and weaknesses) 2. You have a role to fill. Know where you fit.. what has God deposited in you? Who are you in Christ? 3. Discover and deploy your spiritual gifts. And he summarized by saying: - you are eternally valuable - you are unconditionally accepted - you are irreplaceably significant Hope this feed you, as it did me. ❤️🙏🏻
