Hi friends, I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve checked in. Am currently back home in Chicago taking care of my Dad who is recovering from major hip surgery, is 81 1/2 years old and lives alone. My father raised 10 kids and is helping raise 35 grandkids. He is a hero in every way. I’ll never forget the day that he had my back the most. We were at my churches girls camp and had to be evacuated because of a bear threat. I forgot something back at Camp. It was stupid, and I didn’t need it, but I was so insistent that even though I’m sure my dad rolled his eyes, he drove me back to Camp and was armed escort to pick up that contact case. It showed me that even though my dad might think I have silly ideas, he has my back. Share a Story about an amazing father in your life

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, all those who have moms, and all those who have/had a woman in their life who is/was like a mom. I think that should cover everyone. :-) Today is also a special day for me as it would have been my mom and dad's 45th wedding anniversary, but Dad has been gone for 6 years.
