šŸŒ± Drop Your Origin Story Below! How Did Your SEO Journey Begin?
Real talk: My SEO journey started completely by accident in Biloxi, Mississippi. I was running a business consulting practice, hitting up Chamber of Commerce meetings and networking events... And literally EVERYONE kept asking the same question: "Can you help me get found online?" Eventually, I stopped saying no and started saying yes. That one shift changed everything šŸŽÆ The game-changer? Upwork. That platform helped me scale to a 7-figure SEO agency. Who would've thought local networking + freelance platforms would be such a powerful combo? Now I'm curious about YOUR story! Drop below: What pulled you into the SEO world? Where did your first real clients come from? What unexpected turn led to your biggest breakthrough? Whether you're just starting out or running an established agency, every journey has those surprising twists that make it unique šŸŽ¢ Let's hear yours! šŸ‘‡

Haha, you know my story! I didnt have a clue what SEO was, much less how it worked. I learned Upwork from Caleb in 2020. First client I landed was for local seo. I decided that might be a good time to learn seo. šŸ˜‚ It all grew from there. Im not sure what percentage of earners I am on Upwork now, but Im guessing its top 5% for seo or marketing. I am now working on adding other methods of getting clients aside from Upwork, but that is where almost all of my clients have come from.

@Caleb Ulku I think it was easier on Upwork when we first started, so I got my start and built my profile up back then. For quite awhile, just having a great profile meant that offers came in everyday. Success produced more success. As we know, its a bit different now and you have to work a bit harder to go after them. But good clients are still out there. I landed a few big ones in recent months. Quite frankly, its still about putting in the work. If its harder to do now, fewer people will be willing to do it. Getting to them quickly has always been key. My response is very short and sweet and mentions their business if they mentioned it and I offer to take a closer look at their situation. If they respond to that, there is a damn good chance Im getting that client.
Glad to be here!
Just 'discovered' Caleb on YouTube the other day. Caleb has that rare ability to distill the essence of complex ideas into usable building blocks. (Saying that as an SEO who has lost count of the number of rabbit holes I've climbed out of.) Impressed!

@Caleb Ulku yeah, the 2nd option is the way I was figuring it. It will all make more sense when I get on there and start using it. I ran out of time today. Should be on there tomorrow.

@Stefan Girndt yeah, Im gonna just talk to my computer about seo for an hour to get my fix in. Saves the wife from having to listen to me bloviate about seo.
Friday Zoom Huddle Recap
An intimate group attended the most recent Zoom huddle. I moved it to Thursday instead of its usual Friday and I'm sure that's why. But the good news is the attendees received a lot of personal, 1-on-1 advice. We talked Upwork strategy, Claude Projects (including some silly ones I built), and a deep dive into how to structure a multi-location local business's website for maximum SEO effectiveness. Join me next Friday and we can hang out, chat SEO, Upwork, and anything else you're stuck with. My goal on these Friday Zooms is to get you unstuck!

New Course Updates: AI SEO Mastery and AI Success on Upwork
A lot of people have been asking what to do after Upwork disabled the RSS feed for freelancers. This was a significant source of jobs for us as it allowed us to send proposals immediately after a job was posted. Well, today a new update in the AI Powered Success on Upwork course solves this issue. Under Auto Write Proposals -> Upwork RSS Feed Replacement I show how my team has managed Upwork's disabling of the RSS feed to continue to easily send proposals immediately after the job is posted. Additionally, another new lesson in AI SEO Mastery focused on using Claude Projects. I'll admit that I initially ignored Claude projects because I had such a negative experience over custom GPT's and it felt like the same thing. Well, it isn't. Claude Projects is a game changer and we use it nearly every day now - once we learned how to get it set up properly. That lesson is AI SEO Mastery -> What is SEO? What is AI? -> Using Custom Projects in Claude As always, these updates are included at no additional charge for all our premium members. Check them out today! @Caleb Ulku am I reading it correctly where it says the teams account is $25/mth per user with a 5 user minimum? So $125/mth?

@Caleb Ulku ok. So each person copies the prompts into their own projects folder? Still a huge time saver in the long run, even if each person has to set it up themselves.
