1. I’ve become okay, mentally, with losing a trade. No one wins every time. 2. If I haven’t made money by 10:00 CST, I’m not going to. I shut the computer down and walk away. 3. Live to fight another day. One red day isn’t going to kill me (or my accounts). 4. Learning from your mistakes is key. Not repeating them is much harder to do but can actually help you make money. 5. The less I trade the better I am at trading.

Hello everyone. My name is Caden and I am a student again at the age of 49. I was fortunate enough to retire at 42 after a career in the oil and gas industry, here in the US, and am back in school for a postgrad degree in economics. I am married and we have one daughter in grade school. I have been day-trading for the past two years and focus primarily on ES/NQ/CL. GC occasionally. I have been trading for the past 30 years, primarily swing trading commodities which my grandfather taught me as a teen. Cotton, beans and cattle. I just started with Bookmap (love it) and also utilize Quantower and Motivewave occasionally. I still trade commodities with my own money and have been day trading props which a friend recommended I try. It still amazes me that I can give a company $100 and a few weeks later they send back 15 times that amount. Amazing space to be involved in. I’d like to keep day-trading props and improve my consistency. That’s why I’m here.
