My Resources
We talked about content resources in the call today so thought I'd drop my list Resource website 1. Envato Elements - biggest library, theres definetly a lot of junk on there but the bangers you can find make it worth it. I personally use this one and everytime I try another website I end up back with EE. It's the king for sure. (sfx, vfx, website templates, fonts, literally everything) 2. Artlist - less variety but higher quality audio (a lot of stuff but mostly sounds & Music) 3. Lickd - Ability to license copyrighted songs like lil baby, surfaces, etc. Learn Storytelling 1. Hayden Hillier Smith YT Channel - Logan Pauls Editor, THE MOST entertaining channel to watch to learn video editing. Great perspetive and completely leveled up my storytelling. 2. 14-day filmmaker course - This was the best $48 I ever spent to learn videography and storytelling. 3. Peter Mckinnon - biggest youtube inspiration. Trying to bridge the gap between his vlogging content and jiujitsu. Watching his videos is work for me as I'm studying everything he's doing lol (because its fucking perfect) Products 1. Duende SFX - $60 but worth the investment. Really high quality risers, hits, whooshes. 2. Film Score Pack - $?? Stupid expensive I don't even want to say it lol Feel underqualified for this one but once I get more experience it will be more worth it 3. PR Adobe suit - $60/month get the whole suit for $20 a month through 14day filmmaker course. I'd honestly reccomend Da Vinci Resolve for editing as I hear all the pros talking about it more. 4. Capcut - FREE, BEST Mobile video editor every holllly shit I love Capcut Hope this helps!

Do you ever stop making certain types of content due to viewership?
I am struggling with discontinuing a certain type of content that is primarily what I am trying to get my page to be known for. The other types of reels I am posting are gaining much more popularity so do I sell out and stop doing what's important to me because people don't like it as much?

Something I’m struggling with too. I want to make travel and lifestyle jiujitsu content, but it’s hard to bridge the two niches together. The way I’m approaching it is I still create the content that I like and want to be known for, but I’m also creating content that people are more so “interested” in. When we talked about “making people love you” in the call earlier this week, I think that is essential for making those types of personalized videos, (videos we care about.) Once we have an audience that really likes us, they’ll consume content just to see us. However we have to get there first. That’s where value videos come in. There are 2 major niches in this category. Either experience or education. Delivering an experience to the viewer, is harder to do, but definitely more rewarding and generates a much stronger bond with them. Educating can be a lot easier and in my opinion has a higher return in followers or subscribers. My suggestion would be to try and make educational content to gain followers, then dropping a few of those personalized videos on the way up. But the major question is, “how can I add value to the viewer? What can I say or tell them that will blow their mind and make them crave more of my content?”

To follow that up, go watch “What Arizona taught me about jiujitsu” on my channel. That’s the kind of content I want to make and be known for. It gives the viewer an experience, (or at least I tried to) but not quite enough for it to blow up. However, “how to develop black belt level guard passing in 7 days” blew up because not only did I educate the viewer, but I made it humorous with the editing and effects, and when they are done watching they walk away with an experience. Like paying for a movie. I’m sure we all have that one tv show or movie that had a significant impact on your life, and that’s kind of the same premise with the content we make as well.
