Magic and Science
Aloha Healers 💛 Ever find yourself right at the edge of magic and Science? As science and technology are evolving so rapidly, I'm also seeing such an uptick in interest in ancient traditions. So many of us are out here trying to find a new pathway for health beyond the current medical system. I'd love to hear from all of you about your journey defining yourself and your own healing practice ✨✨ Later today I'll be live streaming a treatment with a friend of mine who is a native practitioner of Hawaiian LomiLomi. He recently decided to move to the West Coast to study and get licensed as a massage therapist 💛 We're excited to share our conversation, and I'd love if any of you are able to join us! I'll log on at 2pm Hawai'i time, and here's the link to join in: https://www.youtube.com/live/79U6edt750Q?si=VrH9HBvNlx-FBCFv Hope to see you later and have a chance to chat about any questions you may have or stories you'd like to share 💛 Love, Adele

Magic and Science
So I'm going through the posts and HAD to comment immediately on this one lol I'm a firm believer in magic and science being the same thing. Having an understanding of your magic helps you to allow others to access their own. Like healing 😊

@Adele Lafever Isaac Asimov once said that magic is just a science that we haven't yet come to an understanding of. I think we're getting there with further understanding of the quantum world. I love the butterfly metaphor though. Relative to both your point and the one of transformation. And flight 😊
When things break down
And by things I mean you! Lol I'm wondering what you might be doing for self-treatment if you are experiencing injury or body related issues and you are not able to receive from a practitioner. I am fond of therapy balls, foam roller and theracane. Wondering what anyone else might be doing or using in this regard 🙏

Pain is a Message
Growing, healing, and adapting to change can all be very uncomfortable; our cells have needs to energy and resources, and we can feel it! As we build our internal capacity to understand the Meaning behind pain sensations, we become more fluent in the language of the Body. We learn to hear the specific requests, and respond to them lovingly. That's also a large piece of the work we bring our clients: help with communication within their bodies! Pain is always a message. any messages coming in loud and clear for YOU today? I've got a little plantar fasciitis flare up 🦶🏼

Omg! This is a huge theme for me. So much so that I started writing about my career in massage and the working title is "don't shoot the messenger " 🤣
Growing as Healers
Sometimes we love our inhibitions more than our possibilities. What is the first thing in your way, when you feel that desire to heal others, or yourself?

@Nathan Gramley also agree here. Getting out of our own way is huge for our own healing and for others too. It can be tricky too, ego sneaks in or pops up frequently if you're not maintaining an awareness of it.
Greetings!
Hi all! Just a little hello post, I'm a therapist based in Connecticut. Been at it for awhile and looking forward discussion and interaction 😊

More of a mission statement than a bio- bringing awareness of our capacity to heal and facilitating healing energies one person at a time.
