Biggest Regret from a Skool Games Winner: Not Setting Up Google Ads Audiences 540 Days Ago
I was talking to March Skool Games winner @Scott Haug about retargeting his substantial (133,000 subscriber) YouTube audience. He, I’m sure like many of you, figured that when the time comes to run ads to that audience, he will just start running them. The issue with that is that in order to run retargeting ads (hint hint - something @Alex Hormozi recommended in Monday’s Q&A), you have to have a populated list of at least 1000 people. This goes for your YouTube subscribers as well as for people who have visited your Skool About Page and/or signed up for your free or paid Skool community. He, like most, did not know that in order to use those audiences you have to set them up in advance and have them populate over time. “I wish I would have known to create those buckets 540 days ago.” The sooner you set up your Google Ads audiences, even if you don’t plan on using them any time soon, the more people you will have there to target when you choose to run ads. Do it. You will not regret it. You may even thank me later :) Have you done it?
