Hi everyone! I am just like you all ❤️ I do have bipolar issues but they aren't too drastic, I was off my meds for 5 years and did fine, but I'm back on them because as my doctor says, it's not IF the symptoms come back, but WHEN. I am also microdosing with ketamine in the evenings, I'm at 50mg nightly with that. Are we supposed to take the mushrooms in the AM? I see so many of you posting about taking with coffee? I took my 1/4 first gummy in the evening, 1/2 yesterday morning and will take 3/4 tomorrow. I haven't felt a thing yet but I think my days have been better? I am SO EXCITED!! I want to get off my anxiety, adhd and sleepy meds!

I'm assuming Justen answered your questions, but I was originally thinking of factors involved with using psychedelics with bipolar medications. Doctors don't necessarily know alot about Mushrooms (some do) but are aware that they are formally studied at institutions like UCSF and Stanford, so there is some acceptance and evidence they can help. I think doctors are generally aware that they can increase Serotonin can be a good thing, in moderation. Larger doses have more relevant studies, but many people Microdose and I'd love to see studies. I spoke with UCSF's psychedelic study group, and saw some very effective presentations last year. Not much research on micro doses, but I know plenty of people that do it and track results. Like antidepressants, which may take a few weeks to work, micro can be the same. Often people say they don't feel increased clarity and energy, but comment that emotions are there they haven't noticed. That chatter that starts in you're mind (what did I forget to do yesterday, I'm gonna be late for something today, etc) when you wake up may have more to it than you are normally aware of. 😉

26 days late, not every day or micro is the same. So many variables. Even though it's said that Psilocybin clears your body in less than 24 hours, its effects seem to last longer. There is a resistance buildup that could lead to successive days feeling less effective, but it's probably a good time for a few days off. Everybody's different. 've been off for 3 days, and feel like I'm running on leftovers. Less is often more. A micro of .10 gm for me works better than .25 gm. I think the direction the industry is moving in will likely commercialize Psilocybin and provide "value added" services like experienced guides. Depending on what's provided, it's likely good for first timers. Some of the 1500-2000 retreats in Oregon or possible in Colorado will likely do well. There's much more discipline to it than just eating mushrooms.

You were looking for comments, and while I a do a few forms of meditation, I went to a Reiki healer that said I was thinking too much, and as a musician, I found playing guitar parts over music I enjoy kept me in the moment. No mental chatter, but something is guiding me to the right notes. I’m not really thinking about it, it just happens. It’s relaxing and quiets down any thinking. Ultimately a negative reaction to something, at least in me, takes me out of the moment, to the past (why did that happen) or future (what do I do next) where if I can return to, or stay in the moment, there is little reaction, merely observation. I guess I’m getting to the “why” of meditation. I’m not really thinking about inner peace (it’s certainly fine to do) but rather letting things happen. So, do I walk around with an instrument ? No, but I minimize reaction. Meditation can do this, as well as many other things. No instrument is required, but acknowledging the chatter that begins when I wake up even exists helps me control it.

I’ve been looking at this for a few more weeks, and saw a Reiki healer again. She said I had other peoples negative energy stored, and while I was micro dosed when I saw her, she said I was able to withstand much more energy work than she’s used to giving. Each experience is unique. I track blood pressure at home and it went down quite a bit. Her work at removing seemed to have some physical effect. What else do I attribute it to ? Over the past week, I’m noticing the people that spread negative energy, are unconsciously using a store and forward system, where something happens to them, and they want to vent and describe the situation to me. I suspect this toxic energy is still being stored by them, and I don’t want it ! This seems worthy of discussion. When they vent, “now is not a good time” seems to work, but I try to help them understand that they are taking on toxic energy in situations they have no control over. In this case, it’s the fine line between hanging with negative people, and helping those people who I think can avoid reacting to this energy. It may be ideal to assume you can only hang with positive people these days, but you can have a productive discussion with people who are receptive to it. While they are venting seems like a good time to divert the discussion, especially if they show anger. It doesn’t always work !
Question: Dosing and Frequency, Higher and More Often!
I'm thrilled to share the joy of our new studies and the expanding understanding of alternative therapies like psilocybin. As more people explore these paths, we uncover deeper insights into well-being and consciousness. Recently, during a one-on-one coaching call, a client opened up about their past addiction to marijuana. It's common to hear that certain substances are non-addictive, but the reality is more nuanced. While the substance itself might not be addictive, the state of consciousness it induces can be highly addictive. I've also encountered individuals puzzled by their higher tolerance and lack of expected effects from psychedelics. This brings us to the importance of protocols, taking regular breaks, and recognizing the unique factors influencing each person's experience with mushrooms. Especially with larger doses, understanding the "Tolerance Effect" is crucial. The Tolerance Effect Depending on the dose, a significant tolerance effect can set in shortly after psilocybin reaches the brain. This means that if a dose seems ineffective, taking more shortly after won't help and can lead to unexpected experiences. The tolerance effect isn't fully understood but likely involves tryptamine molecules binding to brain receptors and "shutting the door" on others, preventing further immediate effects. These doors remain shut until the molecules break down, which can take days. Veteran users often wait five days between doses, with some needing up to a week. This waiting period ensures that subsequent doses are effective and minimizes potential negative experiences. Mixing different tryptamines or using blocking medications during this period can also hinder the effectiveness of your next dose. Microdosing Considerations A common question is whether it's safe to microdose daily. This question has multiple layers: 1. Is it safe for my brain and body to microdose every day? 2. What are the long-term effects of daily microdosing? 3. What happens when I stop microdosing after daily use?

There are many sources on the web about dosage, assuming you know the strength of your product. For dried Psilocybin Cubenisis decriminalized in many locations, I feel a good strategy is to gradually increase the dose, and take on an empty stomach. Try to use the same product. Typically, more benefits and more intense experiences seem to be between 2 to 3.5 grams. I've guided trips at about 1.8 up to 3, but people go higher, to 5 or more grams. I see little benefit above 3. Not all trips are the same. Don't think your next trip will be like the last. Lots of moving parts. I've checked with doctors when concerned. Any antidepressant use is a concern, and any Benzo use will reduce effectiveness. I'm not the authority here, but fairly informed about the neurology involved, as are the other people here. I observe, and pass it on These substances must be respected. On an empty stomach, 2 grams will normally provide visuals, as well as keeping you "in the moment." You may become aware of thought patterns you don't normally notice, and music can play a large part of the experience. Look up the terms set and setting. It's important you have a safe environment, and if a first timer, try to find a trip guide. Arrange some eyeshades, or a dark room, comfortable, someone you know at home that won't interrupt you for several hours is good. You may find you have expectations of what is going to happen, but often Psilocybin gives you what what you need. Why eyeshades or a dark room ? Psilocybin tends to focus you inward, and open eyes can be distracting, but rules can be broken. Look around if you like. If people are a bit anxious on the way up, I have them open their eyes, and move a little to burn off a bit of energy. When colors get brighter, I have them get comfortable, and remind them it's only temporary. Go with the flow. A note about safety: Psilocybin is not very toxic at all. It is reported that 15-20 pounds would do no PHYSICAL harm, but you might think you have died, or become God. Do not even think about it. Work your way up, and give your body a rest. I recommend 2-3 weeks between large doses. I've also seen rules broken.

Purely my opinion, feel free to chime in Justen. It sounds like there are unanswered questions regarding higher dosages. I’m located where this is legal, but since these are psychoactive substances, this should not be considered any type of medical or psychological advice. The expanding field of integrative medicine is a good place to look for healthcare professionals that are familiar with topics like this. Everybody is different, and extra caution should be advised when any other medications are taken. Psilocybin is much like Serotonin so even supplements like 5-HTP from Amazon can affect things. Check out serotonin syndrome. My opinions come from direct or indirect experience, having observed larger dose trips, and having direct conversations with researchers. That said, remember as you open up you’re mind, you are much more vulnerable to toxic energy from others, so set and setting are very important, and safe isn’t just physically safe, but mentally safe, no phones on, essentially you are on do not disturb. I have my own personal views on intentions, but integration afterward is important. In my view, it’s an open discussion of what you learned, what it meant, and how to proceed.
Golden teacher question
I’m going to ask a question that I think has an obvious answer: Trying to trip with the capsules isn’t really a good idea, right? Like because the other ingredients?? I’d love to have that experience once at least but it seems possibly risky. Should tripping be isolated to the chocolate?

Do you know the Psilocybin as well as psilocin content of the Golden Teacher capsules ? Golden Teacher is generally stronger for a given weight. I'd like to help with your question. I don't know the actual Psilocybin content of what you are using. I've had good experience with chocolate, but I know what the dosage actually is. Prescription medications as well as supplements can also affect things, so it's wise involve a healthcare professional, many which support this topic.
Disgust for substance use/addictive meds?
Hey guys. Today, I woke up and realized that I felt a discusted feeling towards my anxiety medication, which I am addicted to. Tapering off this medication is one of my intentions that I have been thinking about. I was wondering if anybody has experienced this and if there might be any suggestions so that I can try to hold onto this feeling. I already emailed my doctor and asked her her to lower my dose. But I’m kind of afraid of the feeling going away.

@Justen Martin Thanks Justen, ultimately, we have our backs, and it doesn't stop at the skin so to speak. I think I said I'm a non duality type. I'd like to manifest a universe where bridges are built rather than fences. The medical system is stressed, due to unfortunate circumstances, and one can hope that AI at least proves it self as a tool to allow better decisions to be made, but it certainly helps to become familiar with one's physical, and especially mental processes. It never hurts to shake up the snow globe once in a while. I hear that directly from Robin Carhart Harris

@Antoinette Burger Yeah, eventually if you follow the money you'll find the answer, but it's often not in plain sight. I don't mean to make it sound hopeless, and any many ways shooting for a perfect life can be unrealistic. Profits, and especially liability are huge drivers. Being grateful for what you wake up with (I'm happy to just wake up) is huge, and unfortunately, there is a mis-distribution of resources. Think about conflict: It's usually "I want your land, I want your oil, I want your food, and I could go on" but it's too much we and they. Bridges are better than fences. People that help people out of purely good intentions help build bridges.
