Putting this module learnings (what resonated with me) in three points: 1) Gave me an idea of how to approach user research at different stages and using which method. 2) The Double Diamond structure and the JTBD framework capture perfectly the whole concept. 3) How important the role of the product is to highlight and solve the user needs AND also to ensure it aligns with the business goals. In theory, this makes sense, let's see how I apply this in practice. My action items: ->Would be to ask more often "What job is the user trying to do". ->Play around with the different methods of user research.

Here is my take on it a) Startup Collecting ideas for the roadmap: Arrange a workshop or brainstorming sessions with the key stakeholders and gather their inputs on the roadmap. It would be quick and informal kind of discussion with ideas bring thrown around the room. Prioritizing the roadmap: Since we are in a startup environment I would look at the goal of the next 3-6 months and build the roadmap. Presenting your ideas to the larger team to get feedback and alignment to invest in it: I would setup a workshop and present the idea and have them input their ideas using the rose, bud and thorn method and gather their feedback. Sharing updates on a big issue that happened last week: Sharing it via the company communication channel or a weekly newsletter about the company updates. b) FAANG company Collecting ideas for the roadmap: Arrange a workshop or brainstorming sessions with the key stakeholders, the shorter number of people the more efficient and gather their inputs on the roadmap. Prioritizing the roadmap: Aligning with the overall goal of the company for the next 3-5 years and the overarching vision and accordingly form the roadmap. Presenting your ideas to the larger team to get feedback and alignment to invest in it: Sharing out an initial email or note to share the background of the idea and then arranging a session to go over the idea and a Q and A with the different departments to get their opinions and align with them. Sharing updates on a big issue that happened last week: Sharing it via the company communication channel or a weekly newsletter about the company updates.

Hi All, The biggest skill gap would be time management and prioritization which is a crucial one. Since I am in one of the earlier roles this includes working on my execution skills which compromises a major part of my role. Delivering something with quality without compromising on time.

@Sid Arora Sure! Our mission is to elevate the lives of the banked and underbaked population in the UAE by making financial services more accessible to them. So we provide a digital wallet solution for blue collar migrant workers and for them to send money back home at low rates and fees. Very few financial institutions focus on these groups of people so this is something built to cater just for them.
