Accountability check-in: 3rd ring light attempt
I just went out to a few clubs tonight to practice the ring light approach again, and I’m posting here for accountability purposes. See audio attached.

@Ernie Potts yeah true. Just didn’t seem like there was too many reps to do out there because it was mostly dudes. Would you go up to a group of chicks, even if they were in a VIP section to take videos of them with the ring light?
Just finished audiobook by Steven Pinker
I just finished the audiobook “How the Mind Works“ by Steven Pinker. Been working on listening to audiobooks while doing some DoorDash on my days off work for some extra money like Michael suggested. That book was pretty interesting, but also a lot of it was hella confusing and hard to keep up with. He used some terms that I think only people in his field of study would understand and not necessarily the average layman person. But still overall a pretty interesting and thought-provoking book that makes you think about the human mind in a different way and opens up your mind to ideas about the human psyche and how evolution played a role in how we think and behave and how our brains evolved.

@Javier Avalos one of my biggest takeaways from that book is that the human mind kind of operates and works a lot like a computer in a way, which was surprising to me because I didn’t know that. But I would recommend listening to it to get a better general understanding of how the mind works, and see how you can apply it to your every day life. And to understand why we think and do what we do from an evolutionary standpoint.
Women always assume your hitting on them
I decided to ask my question in an audio recording for the full context. I’m gonna start making recordings of myself to better ask these questions with full context and clarity for my questions instead of just trying to type a bunch of text for these questions. I have questions about female friends and me practicing making female friends.

@Constantin Zhang how do you generally approach groups of people when you go out without looking weird, especially if you go out alone?
TV for MOA 📺
TV is mostly good for entertainment and relaxing after a long day, but occasionally some shows & movies come along which are great as a resource for guys who are looking to improve themselves socially and broaden their network. Love Island is actually one show which is great for observing interpersonal dynamics between high status influencer types, to learn how people of this level interact with each other, and what they find attractive. What TV shows & movies have you guys found to be a help in your journey to social mastery ?

I remember a female coworker of mine recommending that show love Island. I don’t usually watch TV or that much mainstream media, but that does seem like a good idea to watch certain shows like that to understand the interpersonal dynamics of higher status people and high-status males in particular with how they interact with attractive women. Some of these reality shows are pretty wild and some of it looks kind of scripted though. I wonder how much of those kinds of shows are actually real. What other shows would you recommend?

Going to a high-end club in Dallas
I remember Michael Sartain recommending me to go to either Citizen nightclub or Bottled Blonde nightclub in Dallas since I’m in the DFW area. I just went to Citizen nightclub just now and I got in line by about 11:30 or so, and there was a long ass line, and I noticed the door men were very selective about who they were letting in. And of course, most of the women they let in, and of course people who actually had tables they let in, or people who they seemed to know and be cool with they let in. I just went there by myself to try to practice the ring light trick that Michael Sartain talks about. I had to wait in line over two freaking hours and I got in like the last 15 minutes before they closed. By the time I got in it was like 1:45 or so and I was just in regular GA and I noticed that most of the women of course were already at the tables. It wasn’t as many women in GA and it was like mostly dudes in GA and I didn’t have access to a table. So I was walking around in the club, trying to find some groups of really attractive women to try this ring light thing with, but most of the attractive woman were already at the tables and it wasn’t really that many women in GA. So I’m wondering how I’m supposed to practice this whole ring light thing at these types of clubs, if it’s a pain in the ass to get in the club in the first place, and then once you get in its mostly dudes in the dance floor and most of the hot chicks are in the VIP sections with table service. How am I supposed to practice this thing? I haven’t been to bottled blonde yet. Maybe I should’ve went a lot earlier because they open at 10. Maybe I should’ve went at 9:30 or really early and had small talk with the door men. I don’t know. Any advice from people with experience with this? I know that when you start out with this thing you have to start from scratch and cold approach to build a social circle, which is what I was trying to do to get some IG’s from women, but it didn’t end up working out like I thought it would, and I didn’t get to do the ring light trick at all. Thoughts?

@Darnell Gordon How exactly do you recommend striking up conversations with the bouncers and other people in the establishment? What kind of questions or icebreakers do you start out with to get the conversation flowing with them and have small talk with them?
