My doctoral degree was cool because of the training and the required hours plus the academic endurance to write a dissertation. Most of what I utilize in practice I learned outside of school anyway. But the degree is required for the licensure. I love what I do, and appreciate the path of how I got here… but honestly, if I had the discipline and access, all the educational aspects could be fulfilled elsewhere.
