I noticed that over the course of the week different industries took sudden dives, but then in extended hours jumped back up. For example SPY dropped from 507 〽️ to 499, and in one trading day jumped back to 507. What I found was a thing called a 'channel pattern'. Since there were no other news items, or dividends/earnings, is there another way to avoid pits like this? Or is this a week that you just avoid trading?
