Baby Reindeer
Baby Reindeer (regardless of veracity of facts, let's say it is all true), comments? how would you approach Richard Gadd case if he came to your practice for help? How would you approach Martha if she came for help? The real Martha said 'it is all hyperbole, but it seems that stalkers in their various degrees, it is a common mental issue, especially nowadays with so much social media exposure.

What are you learning these days?
Hey everyone I have been a little bit quiet lately, as I have been traveling to take the NLP Trainer's training in Orlando, USA. Soon, I will be offering NLP classes and more :) What are YOU Learning and studying?

Finished reading “It didn’t start with you” by Mark Wolynn and getting serious about learning Family Constellations. Not sure who the best option is to start training. Any advice? I live in Australia. If not, it has to be online. Thanks
Wondering if online therapy really works? 🌐💻
Absolutely! 🙌 Online therapy can be super effective for tackling mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and more. There are several reasons why online therapy can be effective: 🖥️ Accessibility: Online therapy allows individuals to access mental health services from the comfort of their own home, which can be especially beneficial for those with mobility issues, transportation limitations, or living in rural areas with limited access to mental health professionals. 📅 Convenience: Online therapy offers greater flexibility in scheduling appointments, as sessions can often be conducted outside of traditional office hours. This can make it easier for people with busy schedules to fit therapy into their lives. 👨‍💻 Anonymity: Some people may feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or personal issues with a therapist online, as it provides a greater sense of anonymity compared to face-to-face interactions. 🤗 Continuity of care: Online therapy can provide consistent access to therapy even when individuals are traveling or unable to attend in-person appointments due to unforeseen circumstances. However, it's important to note that online therapy may not be suitable for everyone. Some individuals may prefer or require in-person therapy for various reasons, such as the need for nonverbal cues or a preference for face-to-face interaction. Additionally, the effectiveness of online therapy may vary depending on the individual, the type of therapy, and the quality of the platform or therapist providing the services. Of course, it's not one-size-fits-all, but if you're considering therapy, online options could be just the thing! Remember, finding the right therapist and platform matters too. Take care of your mental health—it's worth it! 💖

100% of my practice is online and can't rave enough about it. It has enabled me to see clients of different countries at different times and it is so convenient. Changes to schedule are so easy to manage as you don't have to factor in travelling times. Just one piece of advice: Make sure that this type of consultation is suitable for your client and do your homework about how to deal with unexpected abreactions. You have to have a system in place and ready to action. Some sessions can be intense and your client has to feel safe at all times.

I sometimes work with children. They are so candid and when they are experiencing lack of control of their emotions, I ask them to close their eyes, breath in and out, picture the emotion they are having a hard time with (see, hear, feel, sense). Ask them to describe with fine details. I take notes. Then I ask them if they have to learn anything from the situation that prompted the emotion. I take notes. Once I extracted learning I repeat back with other ideas or suggestions. Then I ask them to visualise a colourful rocket , to describe the whole thing in detail again. Then I ask them to put the emotion in the inside of the rocket, lock the door tightly and start decreasing all sub modalities (colour, smell, feeling). Then we start doing a countdown and I ask them to use hands to describe the blast off. (They look so cute mimicking the flames, swooshing with their lips) Then we start visualising the rocket flying away so high until it is a small dot that finally disappears. When they are ready, they open eyes, shake hands. I ask them: "Is the emotion still there or IT IS GONE, REALLY REALLY GONE?. 99% of the times they say it is gone and give me a smile. I break state (ask them to pinch their nose, or stick the tongue, or tell me favourite meal). I have so much fun working with kids. To make sure they learned, I ask them to practice the drill with their parents in front of me. They are so funny. They even pretend my voice! 😅
