Let's get moving!
Hey everyone!!! It's been so long! How's everyone doing? So, I know you're gonna be like, the irony of this girl for talking about this community dying then leaving herself for so long but hear me out, this is not my fault, okay, my teachers make the finals routine, I don't. But I know everyone missed me (let's ignore the silence) so I'm back! But here's the thing, I realized that most of my posts are not necessarily about stem, these are things that all students might read or some of them may even relate to working people, so, I've decided to open my own newsletter on substack, yay! So, from now on, you can find me on both here and substack or if you wanna look at a more professional side, LinkedIn is always an option but, from now on, I'll try to write here then also post those things on my newsletter so more people can find them and maybe even shift some of my old posts to my newsletter but since it is a personal newsletter, I will be adding more personal experiences and such, these are posts you might not see me post on skool so, if you like reading my posts, be sure to check out my newsletter, I mean, it's still pretty blank since I just started but it's about to get really fun really quick so, better prepare by staying tooned. Anyways, thanks you so much for reaching this far, here's the link to my first newsletters where I covered my October shenanigans: https://open.substack.com/pub/rudaiba/p/the-more-you-fall-back-the-further?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=47zbbv

Quotes of the Week 2
Quote 1: “There is only one page left to write on. I will fill it with words of only one syllable. I love. I have loved. I will love.” - Dodie Smith, I Capture the Castle Quote 2: “Why can’t people have what they want? The things were all there to content everybody; yet everybody has got the wrong thing.”- Ford Madox Ford, The Good Soldier Quote 3: “Let’s just allow ourselves to be whatever it is we are.” - Andrew Largeman, Garden State Quote 4: “It’s not destroying. It's making something new.” - Lena, Annihilation Quote 5: “I was taught the way of progress was never swift nor easy.” - Marie Curie Quote 6: “That’s what I consider true generosity: you give your all, and yet you always feel as if it cost you nothing.” - Simone de Beauvoir Quote 7: “What is a man but the sum of his memories? We are the stories we live. The tales we tell ourselves.” - Clay Kaczmarek, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Quote 8: “I’m sure an answer will come to you. Wisdom takes time.” - Sonia, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom I Capture the Castle is a book written by Dodie Smith and published in 1948. The book focuses on the 17 year old protagonist Cassandra Mortmain in the year 1934. Mortmain keeps a diary that she fills over the course of a few months which reflects on her life at her home, the ruined Suffolk Castle. The journal entities also are filled with information on her family. By the time the story ends, Mortmain’s outlook on life changes drastically and her family’s situation has also changed. Dodie Smith wrote this book as she was feeling homesick during the second world war. She had moved to the US from England and these emotions are detailed within her book. Dodie Smith is probably most well recognized for her book 101 Dalmations which later became a Disney movie. Dodie Smith died in 1990. The quote from I Capture the Castle reflects Mortmain’s growth throughout the book as she matures and falls in love. All throughout her time journaling, during this incredibly turbulent time in history, Mortmain has been describing the world around her. Now, she has reached the final page of her story and fills it with the one emotion that she wishes to have and share with another whom she cares about. Love. Remember to love what you do in life.

The perserver
It is not the strongest species, or the most intelligent, or the most reproductive species that survives. It is the species that perseverates. --Darwin Hard times come, and you can't do much about them. Bad things happen to us, and we, in turn, do bad things to others. Just look at the war in Ukraine: both sides are full of young people, not much older than us, each fighting for what believe is the right side. Guns, artillery, grenades, are terrifying. We become numb to the casualties of war, because it is the only way for our conscience to live with war's horrors. Here one moment, gone the next. "In war, there are no victors." Yes, this line is overrused, but it is the truth. War is terrifying, and even though I have never come close to one, 2D pixels on my screen displaying the GoPro footage of trench warfare are enough to leave me shocked, saddened, and confused. War, greed, savagery, is the truth that we as a species must live with. In this way, there is a war waging within each of us. This is the price of being the most intelligent, most apex predator on the food chain: when there is no prey to kill, we hunt ourselves. Usually I end these on a good note. Today there is none. Good and bad do not exist after human's wars. Only

Only those who preserve survive. Thank you for another insightful post Kevin. I barely have the words to describe just how horrifying wars are, but you did an excellent job in doing so.

https://www.skool.com/qurios/act-september-2024-test?p=74bc3ffc I have the H14 ACT from this September. I would also recommend that you review the official ACT material and use it as practice to figure out what section gives you trouble and then drill in on those sections. Also, make the best use of the ACT section in the classroom tab here in the Rishab Academy.

@Chetna Sharma I don't have a link to those. The book can be bought at the ACT's website or on amazon.
