Advice for Video Editors based on my experience for 3 years
First of all, I started my journey as a video editor and I learnt most things on my own beginning with Capcut. But now I use Premiere Pro after going for a few weeks of training. Here are my advice that helped me: 1. Make sure you have a lot of patience and be a good listener as a video editor. Your previous project can be improved upon on the next project. 2. Gather all the materials needed before commencing any project 3. Be organized, name your files and folders properly to avoid confusion. 4. Go through your materials before editing at least twice so you can put up a better story. 5. Be creative but, don't overdo it. Work with the script given to you especially when you are working for a client. You can explore more on personal projects ๐Ÿ˜‰. 6. Be time-bound, set goals. 7. Watch other people's content. No one is an island of knowledge. 8. Share your knowledge with others because when you share, you become better 9. Be positive, you will get there ๐Ÿ’–

Stuck at posting your first video? Read this!
If you are stuck with uploading that very first video to your channel it is likely you are trying to get every little detail right. -Research everything on a specific topic -script every word you're gonna say -Record the a-roll (fix lighting, get a $1000 camera, get a good laptop etc.) -Make the b-roll -Edit every detail ECT. The point is you're trying to overdo it for such minimal reward Even when you make your very first video, all the effort you put in, it'll suck anyway That's the cold harsh truth bro... IT WILL SUCK ANYWAY! The reason for this is that you're very inexperienced on youtube, you haven't done anything yet on the platform. So this should kinda comfort you that it doesn't matter that the video isn't perfect. We all started out bro. My very first video sucked so much that I eventually deleted it (not right approach, I wish I hadn't done that cause it would be a perfect way to see how much I improved). You don't learn to swim from a book so you don't grow on youtube if you don't have anything posted yet. The mindset you need to adopt for yourself for this is that this first video is just to see if you want to continue on youtube, that's all! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here a little challenge for you if you thought about starting a youtube channel or trying to overdo your first video: Upload a video within 48 hours from seeing this post, and doesn't matter if everything sucked, it is just to get you going. And to spice up the challenge: 200 push if you miss the deadline!!!! Let me know if you accept and did it! Take care! -Robin

Master Premiere Pro
Hey there, Iยดm currently editing in CapCut PC, for about 5-6 months now. I feel very comfortable and really love the build in features and intuitive interface. i managed to land 3 clients just using CapCut. However to use advanced masking tools, 3D effects and more professional features i wanna learn premier pro. I already now the basics and due to my editing experience i have an understanding for the features. In the future i would like to only work within premier pro and after effects. Do you have any tips/ tutorials/ youtubers or anything to help me master premiere pro (and after effects in the future) ? if so, feel free to comment or contact me, thank you so much !
