great question, with all the talk Capcut gets everywhere these days @Zac Cavarretta. If you don't mind its affiliation with TikTok (I do), then there's nothing wrong with using it when it comes to ease-of-use considerations. Pretty much like iMovie as part of MacOS, Capcut is a consumer-grade editing solution -- and for that reason, it lacks some of the advanced features you find in FinalCut, Davinci Resolve or the extremely unfailry-priced Adobe stuff like Premiere (you lose your content, if you don't pay monthly -- an absolute deal-breaker)! Capcut is popular mostly because it's free. But if free is what you're after, then besides Davinci Resolve (free) or iMovie (free with MacOS) there's also a ton of Open-Source NLE programs that are a lot easier to use than Davinci Resolve and less limited in pro features than Capcut. They run on ALL operating systems (Mac, Linux or Windows). Examples would be Shotcut.org, Lightworks (editshare.com), openShot.org and even Blender.org -- many more as well, but the above are cross-platform and "run everywhere". I hope this helps.
