New Video: The Mathematics of Exponential Sales Growth
In this video, I share some interesting maths that should give every retailer hope and optimism that they can grow their business much more aggressively than they might think: https://www.skool.com/indyretailmasters/classroom/31addf15?md=4992bfcfdac4439093d0a49d8132ac2b

@Jim Freeman OK thank you, will investigate

@Jim Freeman Thanks, that pathway should be unlocked now; new videos every 1-2 days hopefully, especially as we get working with people. The other empty classroom areas will be unlocked as we upload content, resources and example applications with real retailers. The plan is to have an ever-expanding library of useful resources, based on solving real member and client problems.
New Video: Strategic Thinking - Understanding the Goal Tree
Thinking about your business and your profitability strategy from the perspective of the "goal tree" is invaluable. In this video, I share the concept, some examples and show the difference between un-strategic entrepreneurs vs strategic thinkers. https://www.skool.com/indyretailmasters/classroom/31addf15?md=8f1aa5c2fada4504b47cae206e9b2a67

Hello! I'm Lynsey - I've spent most of my working life working for other people and have gained vast experience across Customer Service/Support/Success, Operations, Ecommerce and Project Management. I'm excited to be launching my first online business imminently... a print on demand t shirt store called Lines From Songs which, well, it'll do exactly what it says on the tin haha! My strengths are definitely in providing excellent customer care, root cause analysis, process improvement and connecting the dots for the customer experience journey. One area I'm really going to struggle with is marketing... so I'm hoping joining this group will help provide me some support, tips and advice around that area! Coming very soon! https://linesfromsongs.store

@Lynsey Barrow cool, I think you're definitely starting in the right place. Organic social media is exactly the right approach for building early traffic to an impulse-buy offer like yours. That's where I started with my store and Instagram and Facebook organic were the main drivers of sales throughout. The key for you will be about getting the details, tactics and content mix right, as well as being organised enough to create good content and post with the required consistency, while continuously improving the store in parallel.

@Lynsey Barrow Yes, me and my team will be continuously adding to the libary of content and resources. Every time we solve a problem for a member, solve a problem in our own retail business or find useful resources, we'll add them and post an update in the feed, so that the whole community gets access to each individual solution that we deliver. I'm happy to help you with any business challenge that you have free of charge, in return for testimonials that we can use on our landing page. Just let me know if you're struggling with anything in particular and I'm happy to consult on a call.
Quick Introduction
Hi, I'm Jim, I am a retailer in the Hobby Games industry. My store celebrated 30 years in April. I (and we) have won a bunch of awards in that time. I have a good knowledge of Indy B&M retailing and a long experience of what doesn't work, as well as some things that do.

@Jim Freeman I thought this was quite an opportunity to create value for retailers, so I spent a full 1.5 days researching this area, even reading the core EU legislation in its entirety. I mapped out the steps involved (see attached image). Everything on this list can either be done for you, done with you, or DIY (yes, even the EU-based representative). As you say, done-for-you by a conventional law firm will run into the many €1000's. However, I've found ways to get the costs below €2k: Done-with-you - DIY approach for most of the process, with outsourced declarations, checks and an external EU authorised representative: ~ €1765 + internal labour Fully DIY: ~€900 + internal labour Do you want to hop on a call to discuss?

@Jim Freeman Absolutely, I would love to help him with that and can guide him to put together a great growth strategy in return for a testimonial that I can use for the paid version of this community. The first step would be to set up a call between me and him if he's full owner of the growth strategy, or the 3 of us if you're involved as well. Can you book a time on my calendar on this link please? https://calendly.com/jack-from-indyretailmasters/discovery-call-re-indyretailmasters You'll be able to add him as a guest by email during the booking process. Alternatively, you can share the link with him and he can book a time himself. On the call, I would spend about 30 minutes hearing from you and Paul on your growth strategy and seeing what you've got in place right now, and then 15-30 minutes sharing some insights, solutions and outlining a process to get to something really solid that you can use to guide the business over the coming 3-12 months. P.S. It doesn't really matter how ill-formed or loose the current plan is; the less structured it is, the more value that I can add to the process. He doesn't need to have a solid plan in place for review before the meeting.
New Video in Classroom: Branding - Creating Colour Palettes in Minutes
Hey everyone, while putting together the brand for my new store, I created some colour palettes for use across various brand touchpoints, and I was quite happy with the results; it just took a few minutes of work with a couple of cool apps. I made a video and also a documented step-by-step process for creating colour palettes that you and your team can use to create on-brand and attractive designs here: https://www.skool.com/indyretailmasters/classroom/248bd59a?md=97e71cf9d46343899519674c3450d324
