Past Testimonial: what I struggled with most before coaching: I had very low self of esteem and was very unkind to myself mentally and I just didn't take care of myself. I did the bare minimum to make it through my day and just put everyone first before me. It was very depressing and didn't know any different. I was so lost and separated from reality and I recognized that I was negatively impacting my family. What had I tried before that didnt work: I did the typical fitness apps and mini classes but they were a temporary fix. The biggest issue has been my mental health and I would purposely bury my needs by keeping busy all the time. I don't have that consistency I needed. Why did I decide to work with Amanda: I think Amanda is an incredible, relatable person. Not only was I getting support for my physical health but my nutritional habits and my mental health. I loved that she valued the importance of balancing more than just physical health. How my relationship with food, working out, and mental health practices grew: I was never properly educated on nutrition to begin with and growing up I was in survival mode 24/7 so as an adult I just ate whatever, whenever with no thought of what being put into my body. She helped me create a sustainable habits that were catered to me. and in the process I learned how to cook better! Growing up I was used to just utilizing my extra curricular activities to sustain my physical health. I have to admit, I was very stubborn with her going to the gym with my social anxiety, but I appreciated her patience with me to balance my lifestyle while adjusting to going to the gym. My mental health has been the most rewarding for me in this journey with Amanda. I ignored myself my entire life and now I am proud to say that I am more aware, patient and compassionate towards myself. I have been the happiest I have ever been, I understand myself better than I have ever before. I've had to take on therapy to tackle some big things but I wouldn't have gotten to this point without her.

Why You’re Here: What led you to join HerHealed? I've had one on one sessions with Amanda and they have been super helpful. I'm in a stage of life with having children that my weight is all over the place. Just want to be happy and healthy and continue to be held accountable and inspired. My mental health is what has been holding me back still and its a work in progress. What You’ve Tried Before: I have made significant improvements with Amanda. My life just feels so busy and overwhelming that I have trouble putting myself first. I am doing better but I could still use the support and the community to keep going! I took mini classes here and there and have done some work at the gym but just haven't remained consistent like id like to. Things You Love: I love Meditation, journaling and taking fitness classes. I like being in groups rather then just being on my own. But I can do it if I'm being held accountable. What You Want to Achieve: What are your current health goals? I am currently 6 months pregnant! So just being able to gain as I should in a healthy way and maintain my physical health. I do have issues with tearing ligaments so I feel like I need to be better at maybe protecting them with more muscle mass and maybe trying to have more flexibility. What does success look like for you? Just remaining consistent. Feeling healthy. Its not about looks for me but more just internally feeling good. Your Vision: Take a moment to visualize yourself 6 months or even 1 year from now. What changes have you made? I will take time to take care of myself by consistently being active to maintain my physical and mental health and not feeling mom guilt in the process. How do you feel in your body and mind? My body feels capable to keep up with my family and my mind is stress free of past trauma. Your Why: What’s driving you to stick with this journey? Are you doing it for your kids...your future self? At first, I genuinely wanted it for my kids; to keep up with them, be an example etc. and that is still part of it but I really want this for me. I want to be in a place in my life where my past is no longer following me in the present. I want to feel physically fulfilled by eating what makes me feel good and keeping myself from getting injured all the time.
