What’s BRAVE this week and coming soon?
Hi Brave Speakers! I’m almost home from a week of travel and can’t wait to reconnect with you all this Thursday for our Brave & Chill Hangout! It’s always a highlight to meet up and hear about your journeys. And don’t forget, this Saturday, October 26th, we have our Brave Persona: Alter Ego Workshop from 11 AM to 12:30 PM (Los Angeles time). This workshop is all about harnessing the transformative power of an alter ego as you step into your BRAVE speaker role. Whether you come as you are or arrive having worked through the Brave Persona Worksheet in the classroom resources, I’m excited to guide you through this empowering session. If you can’t attend live, no worries—the workshop will be recorded and shared. I had a fun thought as an extension of the Brave Persona workshop - with Halloween coming up, why not dress up as your alter ego? Whether it’s a version of yourself you’ve been working on or someone completely new, it’ll be fun to embody that BRAVE persona! Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for November’s Signature Talk Workshop, which will be a series of sessions to help you shape your talk from start to finish. I’ll also be offering 1:1 coaching opportunities for those who want to dive deeper into uncovering or weaving together their stories. Before we jump into all of that, I’d love to hear from you—what brave thing have you done this week? For me, it was exploring a new city with the intention of moving there. After experiencing some tough disappointments with past moves, the brave part for me is allowing myself to feel hopeful again about a new chapter. Looking forward to catching up on Thursday!

Brave Habits - thoughts while running
The name of this group didn’t come from nowhere. It runs deep in my lore! But I just went for a run and it gave me the ideas for Brave Habits. I’ve always run and tried to keep a habit of it but always “I’m moderation.” Like, running more than 10k just didn’t feel necessary. Then about 6 months ago I pushed past 10k to 8 miles and thought, why not just do a half-marathon? Then I rolled my ankle. I was out for months. And got out of shape so much that even as I got back into the game, running scared me. I didn’t want to get even farther behind than I was by risking another injury. (That was the 3rd time I rolled my ankle in a 6 month period.) So today, I’m not just starting my running habit again, I’m being brave again. Thoughts while running led to a whole monologue of insight about one of my life mottos, “everything in moderation, including moderation.” But when does that become a form of actually holding yourself back? If it holds you back from too much “bad” does it not also hold you back from too much “good”??

I’m swimming up to a mile a day w/ near zero chance of a ‘ankle roll’, but could bang my head on end of pool wall if my eyes are closed in ASMR meditation I guess. The swim ‘Not very brave’ given I was a deep water international commercial diver and water way warmer than the north sea, but I’ll ask Ambra or GROK how to make it BRAVE Again!

Prototyping Your Purpose
I just found the original workbook for a workshop I taught several years back, called “Prototyping Your Purpose.” 🥔🥸🛠️ “Purpose” is a controversial topic. (Discuss!) I think one of my first core realizations in the realm of paralyzing beliefs / fears is…. I was afraid. AFRAID to “f*ck up my purpose.” 💀 (Anyone else ever have that fear??) This workshop could be repurposed for our benefit here in this community so I’ll be working on getting that extra content up in the classroom soon. 🍿 So excited!! …plus we have some AMAZING members of this community who are experts at working through this - so it will be fun!

@Kevin L I named the pic Fighting Angel for a number of beliefs. I have one other I use as a core of desires. Please post a few of yours!
International Exposure
I just got off a call with one of our community members in Australia who brought something up and she was so RIGHT! We are an international community, and many of my own experience comes from having lived in multiple countries, so this makes absolute sense... I am committed to helping you get International exposure for you, your message and your growth. How does that sound? ;) Where are you now... and where would you like to grow an audience?
