Half Cab Roll
USEFUL SKILLS Toe side backroll Fs 180 DEMO https://youtube.com/shorts/V8zP1QpOkHw?feature=share HOW TO 1. Skill Foundation: Ensure you have a strong foundation in cable wakeboarding, including riding, carving, and basic jumps. 2. Safety Gear: Always wear a helmet and a properly fitting life jacket. Choose a cable park with clear, obstacle-free water. 3. Approach: Edge into the wake with a controlled edge, building tension on the line. 4. Pop and Rotation: As you approach the wake, initiate the backroll rotation by popping off the water and tucking your knees towards your chest. Allow your body to rotate backward. 5. Prepare for the Frontside 180: As you come off the kicker, anticipate the frontside 180 by initiating the rotation with your upper body and shoulders. 6. Complete the Frontside 180: Use your upper body and shoulders to lead the rotation while extending your legs to complete the 180-degree turn. Land with your opposite foot forward. 7. Absorb the Impact: Upon landing, bend your knees to absorb the impact and maintain balance 8. Spot the Landing (Backroll): Keep your eyes focused on the water to spot the landing as you complete the backroll rotation. 9. Absorb the Impact: Upon landing, bend your knees to absorb the impact and maintain balance over the board. 10. Recovery: Ride away smoothly, maintaining control and balance. 11. Practice and Persistence: Start by practicing each component (backroll and frontside 180) individually before combining them into the Half Cab. Progress at your own pace and prioritize safety at all times.
