What’s up y’all! I just dropped my first music video which I directed for my song ‘Misunderstood’ that I also wrote & produced. Check me out https://youtu.be/sEGsUiIteLo
@Vitus King I personally dont feel there is an age limit, I hear other artists say "I'm to old to be still doing this I'm gonna let the young people have it" and I never understood that thinking. From all the responses I know that I'm not alone in this
In 2023 does booking 50/hr studio sessions still make sense or does it make more sense to invest in a nueman tlm mic and an Apollo twin and just insulate the garage?
I'm both an artist and mixing/ mastering engineer. I would say in this digital age buying your own gear is a very good investment. It can help u capture on the spot creative ideas without having to wait for an open slot at another studio. The main key is making sure you learn how to record properly and cleanly. Also make sure you get it to a engineer for a proper mix until you learn that process yourself, if that's even something you want to do. Don't feel like you have to learn mixing and mastering just because you have gear that's totally up to you, but building a relationship and sound with an engineer is a great alternative.
If anyone is in Indiana or surrounding areas I would love to network! I’ll be there March 24th-26th So if you need any visual work( music video, live performance, content, promo visuals) tap in, I would love to help!
