Not too sure but going to take a guess anyway - the MAC clause where whoever’s buying can terminate the aquisition before completion if an event has significant impact on the target business profitability?
Effective Networking
Hi community, First, I would like to congratulate Hassan on his magnificent launch of the private community. It looks great from the outset. Second, I wanted to ask the community about ways to effectively network. Coaches in US advise aggressive networking. What is the preferred way in London?

When I built my business in the US, the networking there is definitely different to London. In London, I would say the networking is a lot more relaxed and less selfish. If you want to network in London, it starts with polite conversations and being inquisitive about the person you’re speaking to before getting to the point of what you want/can offer. So having good conversation skills and being genuine will get you a lot further here! Most people network in London at industry events or on LinkedIn, you won’t really run into people on the street like in the US

Definitely research and networking! Most people do not adequately research the industry or company they are applying to. Doing thorough research will allow you to stand out because it shows genuine interest, as well as making an informed decision on whether you want to participate in that industry/company Be intentional with who you connect with because those connections will take you further in terms of your knowledge and understanding of an industry, company or events - so really try look for current apprentices who can give you an honest breakdown of what the process was like and what made them successful. Most are really happy to help incoming apprentices! Either reach out to them on Linkedin with a short message or attend student events where they will sit on a panel
CV Advice
Hi there, Can some suggest over making CV more competent when you have limited experience and just graduated from university? What kind of roles should one consider while applying?

I always suggest that if you had a part time job during uni, highlight the skills your industry values to get your foot into the door of relevant industry experience Roles depend on what industry you’re thinking to break into
Work Experience/ events outside of London
Hi all! I hope that you are well. My name is Anna and I am interested in gaining corporate legal experience and contacts. I am currently studying the LLM Legal Practice (SQE1&2) course. Apart from online open days and self-paced virtual schemes, do you have any recommendations for work experience and/ or events in corporate law ahead of the upcoming application cycle?
