I highly getting in on TikTok now. You're absolutely right though, there will never be a perfect moment to start. Every day more and more people run to the platform. But, as the competition increases, there has never really been a better time to start developing the skills and understanding required to create good short-form content. The great part about understanding TikTok is that the skillset crosses over to all the other platforms. So, you can use the skills you develop to leverage multiple marketing channels.

Nothing wrong with thanking new followers, I think that might be beneficial in terms of community building. I think mentioning in the description is a good tactic, I would say a story might be the best way to thank your audience/mention anybody, that way you won't have people who follow just to be mentioned.

I use the bio as a quick way to show what type of content I create, where you can find me, and what my offer is ATM. I do get quite a few emails! I would focus more on growth to get a link in you bio before trying to push traffic to your website.
