Does Anyone Have a Different Take on This?
Posted this to Twitter / LinkedIn today. **Cheat code for entrepreneurial success** DO NOT invent a brand new business model. Instead, COPY existing businesses. Why? There’s proven demand. Just be sure to change this one thing ↓ You MUST find a way to differentiate. Two ways to accomplish this: - Price - Market I DON’T recommend competing on price. This results in a “race to the bottom” and will cut your profits razor thin. I DO recommend differentiating by market. AKA, sell your offer in an underserved market. I’ve launched 4 startups in my 26 years. My two successful startups differentiated by market: - Greenbox Storage: Summer storage service for college students - FounderBrands: Content agency Greenbox Storage succeeded because there was little competition at my alma mater. FounderBrands succeeds because I niched down and chose a hyper-specific Ideal Customer Profile ↓ Founders who want to drive leads from Twitter. (And by the way, I didn’t invent those business models. I copied them) My two startup failures: - Air mattress rentals for college students who had friends come visit - Business consulting for college students Both original ideas. Both failures. Here’s the lesson: 1. Competition exists where demand lies. 2. No competition is a red flag. 3. You can succeed by selling in an underserved market.

It’s when you dig deep in here that you find these gems I hadn’t seen this yet. I agree: it’s something I’m working on now. I found a product that I can be a reseller for and I’m not gonna reinvent the wheel. I’m just gonna do what they do in a new market.

@Collin Rutherford we will be discussing this today when we meet. Well, one of the things I need help from Founder Brands with!
Lead Magnet and Landing Page
Morning guys/gals! I got my LP live today, it doesn’t officially launch until Monday going out to my email list of contractors, I have FB ads starting Wednesday (Brad need to talk to you about possible 𝕏 ads and I know it’s different there), then the following Monday I have another email list of 4k I am sending it too. The idea here is to get a segmented list I can start to store specific emails to and get feedback while building the paid version as we as a complex and detailed estimating workbook on Google Sheets full of charts and the whole 9, also a paid product. I already saw a couple of things to fix on the landing page, if you see a typo or flow you think might help I will certainly consider it. I rad it through my FB ads guy and made some tweaks he suggested. Thanks! HTTP://contractorospro.com

@Explicit Digital Agency- Maxwell of course it could use a redesign, I made it lol. I am meeting with Brad to discuss something else with it on Monday, will see what he says. Was just looking for some pointers here though, have other things in the pipeline for paid LPs.
👨‍🏫Teacher Turned AI Consultant🤖
Hey team! Anything Brad is creating, I want to be a part of! Brad is the relationship + automation master & he has taught me a ton! I’m excited to be a part of this community. I’m Aaron Makelky. I’ve been a career teacher & sports coach, including 12 years of head football coaching. I’ve been teaching students in my classes to learn, study, & create with AI. This past year I traded bus trips & 2-A-Days practices for entrepreneurship. Now I teach professionals & organizations to use AI intentionally & effectively. I also created an online course for college students to “ACE College With AI” since so many from my classroom were coming back & asking for help. If you know a college student who wants to learn to use AI without cheating, send me a DM! I also decided to create an affiliate program & go 50:50 with my students if they want an easy side gig while in college. I’m excited to learn from you guys & see your skillsets! Besides AI integration, I do a lot of mediocre content creation, but that one TikTok video did explode up my reach! My brother is a college Tennis coach. Worked his way up to Head Men’s Tennis Coach at University of Indiana. Moved to Academies after that, started an Academy in SC and is finishing his career now where not only was he #2 player and on #1 doubles but also started his coaching career and is inducted into their Hall of Fame for the CVAC Division as a coach. Lees McRae is a small private college in the W NC mountains, they were hit pretty hard with Helene this year, and just went back to school on Nov 4. The life I have witnessed him go through and the sacrifices he and his family had to make for him to be a success was tremendous, recruiting around the world constantly working 7 days a week with 4 kids, two special needs, it took a toll on me just witnessing it. He is the most competitive person I have ever met though, there is no losing in his mind. I am 53 and he is 55. When we were 10 and 12, he started playing. He was awkward and had no coordination, I was always a natural. I would show up to the school yard down from our house after riding bikes with my friends and terrorizing the neighborhood, he was hitting balls at a wall. Drop my bike on the ground: “Wanna play?” He would look at me and I could see it start to fire up. I’d whip his ass and go back to getting in trouble, laughing. He kept working at it, 7 days a week. Lettered in high school and scholarship to college. I dropped out got my GED and went to work in construction. Just realized I spelled out a pretty meaningless part of my life, now I forgot what the point was…. Anyway, love to see that you are implementing AI with your students!
