Differences in Bible "Types"(not versions)
Another lady and I were discussing some verses that read differently in different 'versions'- and her husband chimed in with "Oh, that sounds like a paraphrase Type of translation"- to which I went, ... "Huh?" And, found this pretty interesting graphic table and article. https://www.swapmeetdave.com/Bible/BibleType.htm

Yes some versions aren't translations (KJV, NKJV, ESV, BSB, TS2009...... Just to name a few) - versions like CJB, TPT, ERV...... Are not translations - they are paraphrased - meaning the authors have summarised & added some of their own words in the Bible verses.
The Lawless Roman Citizen Paul or the Torah Keeping Jewish Rabbi Shaul
The Pic might be meme material but understanding Paul's writings is No Laughing matter - it is quite difficult as written by Peter (2 Peter 3:16,17) & he also said that the untaught & weak people would twist them & lead others into the error of LAWLESSNESS. Which has happenned - just as Peter said !!! In Greek NOMOS means LAW / TORAH. The words "under law", "not under law" etc - each is a phrase that has a distinct meaning. Paul is writing about 3 laws. Whenever we read the verses thro the interlinear, we see that there are subtle differences in the original Greek text - between these different laws. 1. The Mosaic Laws {HO NOMOS = THE LAW} (God given LAWS that were kept by the Messiah) 2. The PHARISICAL Laws {NOMOS = LAW} (manmade laws that were added by the pharisees & law teachers of that time) 3. The Roman Laws {NOMOS = LAW} (in 1 or 2 passages he's referring to these laws also) But in most English translations we find that the translators have added "THE" even to verses that didn't have "HO" (Greek word for "THE"). So it appears that Paul was always referring to "the law of Moses" - apparently not - in most places where Paul was speaking about the law & law keepers in a degrading manner - it was mostly the PHARISICAL laws (NOMOS) but often confused with the Mosaic Laws. I've found this thumb rule to be true in 80-90% of Paul's letters - the remaining 10-20% could be because of my lack of knowledge or were lost in copy writing.

@Tim Hillis earlier you had published this (about Paul referring to the Roman Law of that time restricting women from speaking in gatherings) on FB & I had read it & shared it with quite a few people.

@Yochannah Sanders out of frustration, I wanted to call out Paul 3-4 times as a false preacher - but when I asked God's guidance, the Holy Spirit intervened & showed me how much Paul's letters have been mutilated (intentionally mistranslated). It just hit me so hard & ever since then there has been no looking back - God has been revealing more & more & more thro Paul's letters.
Significance of PHYSICAL CIRCUMCISION
The significance of physical circumcision - as to what God said - can be found in Gen 17:7,8 - YAHOVAH said ❤️❤️"He'll be God to Abraham & He'll be God to his descendants"❤️❤️ - this is the most important aspect of circumcision - often overlooked & not highlighted - but yesterday when I was reading this portion (3rd time since morning & more than a 100 times overall) - these words stood out - and I literally froze - how come something as important as this has been overlooked for so many years by so many people. This is why God gives so much importance to Physical circumcision - God gave it as a criteria in many instances (2 from the top of my mind) 1. Passover celebration 2. Entering the Temple - Ezekiel Even the pharisees (who accepted the Messiah) gave so much importance to circumcision (Acts ch 15) that they included it in the salvation criteria & Paul called the gentiles as "uncircumcision" Suddenly all of this makes so much sense. Genesis 17:7-8 NKJV [7] And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, 👉to be God to you👈 and your descendants after you. [8] Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and 👉I will be their God👈.”

Significance of PHYSICAL CIRCUMCISION
Why Physical Circumcision?
NKJ Genesis 12:1 Now Yahweh had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." We are the children of Abraham (Galatians 3:29) and his blessing extends to us, the Commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:13). NKJ Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." 2 But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?" 3 Then Abram said, "Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!" 4 And behold, the word of Yahweh came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir." 5 Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." 6 And he believed in Yahweh, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. 7 Then He said to him, "I am Yahweh, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it." 8 And he said, "Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?" 9 So He said to him, "Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon." 10 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. 11 And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. 12 Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him......17 And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. 18 On the same day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your Seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates -- 19 "the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, 20 "the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 "the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

Peter warned about Paul's letters
2000 years ago PETER WARNED that 1. PAUL's letters are DIFFICULT to UNDERSTAND 2. UNTAUGHT & UNSTABLE people would TWIST Paul's letters to their own DESTRUCTION 3. And also NOT to be led ASTRAY into the ERROR of LAWLESSNESS (this last part is usually lost in translation) ‭II Peter 3:15-17 NKJV‬ [15]......... as also our beloved brother PAUL, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, [16] as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, 👉in which are some things HARD to UNDERSTAND👈, 👉which UNTAUGHT and UNSTABLE people TWIST to their own DESTRUCTION👈, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. [17] You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, 👉BEWARE lest you also FALL👈 from your own steadfastness, 👉being led away with the ERROR of the WICKED (LAWLESS)👈; https://bible.com/bible/114/2pe.3.15-17.NKJV
