There has got to be an easier way to find subcontractors other than Google. Please leave info.

I have not submitted a bid, however, have called and emailed multiple companies for various solicitations, and one finally returned my email as a subcontractor. How often do companies return your calls/emails?

Most of the solicitations I've been viewing have a requirement for a payment bond; reading the Far clause 28.102-1, my understanding is if I win the award and my bid is lower than 34,999 K, I don't need it. But, if the Contractor has it as a requirement even if the award is less than 34,999K, I'll need to get one. Am, I correct in assuming that? Also, if doing as legal middleman, should I use the winning Award as the bond or the price I quote the subcontractor?

If the solicitation has an attached wage determination, and I'm doing legal middleman - Do I need to forward that to the subcontractor along with SOW or can I forgo it?
