Let's Introduce Ourselves (Reply In The Comment Section)
Hi everyone, I've outlined the scope of this community in a separate post titled "Introduction - This Community & Its Purpose!". I suggest you read it if you haven't yet. This post is about getting to know each other better. For this reason we're asking each new member to answer a few questions. The purpose of these questions is not only to introduce yourself to the community, but also to share your experiences and aspirations in music. By understanding where we're each coming from, we can more effectively learn from each other, offer meaningful advice, and create collaborations. Remember, this is a community of diverse music enthusiasts, and everyone’s story and skills are valuable. The answers you provide will help build a solid foundation of understanding and respect, and will also assist us in tailoring the resources and discussions to meet everyone's needs and interests. 1. Could you please introduce yourself and tell us where you're from? 2. How long have you been involved in songwriting or music production? 3. What inspired you to pursue songwriting/music production? 4. How have you been developing your ear training skills so far? 5. What is one artist that has greatly influenced your work? Why? 6. What genres of music do you typically work within? 7. What specific challenges are you currently facing in songwriting, music production, or ear training? 8. What's one accomplishment in your musical journey that you're particularly proud of? 9. What are you hoping to gain from this community? 10. Do you play any musical instruments? If so, which ones? 11. Do you have any experience with the UseYourEar method? 12. Can you share a piece of advice or a tip that helped you in your musical journey? Let's get the conversation started by replying in the comments below! We can't wait to learn more about you and your musical journey.

@Iv Ma thanks for your reply. I think that regarding the technical aspect of how to use Logic, you can find a lot of tutorials for any level on youtube and that should help quite a bit with most of the issues you have with it. Have you already tried using youtube for that? Are there any issues you are experiencing with that process? In regard for the general production and songwriting process, I guess you have to learn a lot of stuff by experimenting and doing it over and over for a few years. There are a lot of different areas of expertise to be acquired in order to become a self-sustaining songwriter/music producer. It seems to me you are on the right track when you say you are focusing on ear training for now, that's an essential component and one of the first one I would develop if I were you! So good job on that! If you haven't seen it yet, I encourage you to watch this video I've published just a couple days ago, were I share my own process of taking a track from 'very rough demo' to 'radio-ready', in the video I also share common issues in the songwriting and production process and demonstrate strategies on how to fix them. This is just part 1 of the entire video series, but it shows a lot of things you might be interested in. Check it out and leave a comment on youtube if you like it! https://youtu.be/OTJDdS3AKak
