Our 5013c
Avalon 5013c wildlife and nature sanctuary / conversation and restore land Avalon 501(c)(3) Wildlife and Nature Sanctuary embodies our commitment to the shared space of Avalon Acres, focusing on the restoration and creation of a diverse and thriving ecology. Our mission is to rejuvenate the soil, mycelia, flora, trees, wildlife, waterways, and overall ecology, creating a paradise that serves as a model for regenerative living. The sanctuary will actively seek donations and grants to facilitate the restoration and maintenance of Avalon Acres, ensuring that every visitor can witness and enjoy the flourishing natural environment. This initiative is our stewardship to the land, a testament to our dedication in shepherding it to its optimal state while harmoniously coexisting with nature. The very essence of Avalon, drawing inspiration from Celtic mythology, represents a utopian paradise. Avalon has been, for centuries, a mythical place that symbolizes purity, abundance and magic. It is a terrestrial utopia and, at the same time, a point of reference of a time when knights were brave, honest and virtuous, a harmonious bridge between the earthy and the celestial, between what is and what some would like it to be.

I have no money to donate but am very interested in your journey as you go through this project! And I would love to see pics, and maybe interview you at some point for my ‘resourcefullyresilient.com’ blog. I know Cole says not to start a blog, but this will be for my affiliate blog business (one of them), and part of my content driven business grand plan :)
Hi!
So cool to see other communities focused on sustainability and self-reliance. I'm brand new to the whole lifestyle so my mind is open and I'm ready receive some wisdom. I've got my own community for men who want to shift from their current lifestyle to something they have more control over. You can check it out here if you're interested: https://www.skool.com/legacyandlumber

I love the idea of Industrial Hemp houses. I am amazed by Industrial hemp and how you can use the hemp fibers to replace wood and steel (Stronger than steel, actually), hempcrete to replace cement ( 10 times stronger ) and hemp cellulose to replace any conventional plastic (four times stronger and not brittle like other bioplastic) and even glass. Hemp textiles , hemp wood, and plastics can be used for interior fittings, furniture, curtains and other interior decor. The insulation made of hemp is incredible as an insulator and naturally pest resistant, anti fungal and antibacterial. No dust, and nothing toxic in any of these materials. Great for those with allergies. Great for all of us. Sound proof too. Hemp ethanol and methanol can be used to power houses and hemp carbon batteries are showing great promise as a superior replacement for lithium batteries (non toxic, long lasting, more powerful). Hemp buildings are breathable, healthy, quiet, strong and safe for living and working. is fire proof and water resistant (flood resistant). I love ‘Just biofiber’s‘ idea of making hempcrete like ‘Lego blocks’ that can be stacked to build houses - and large ones- in a couple of days. Check out this ‘harmless home’ built in Canada: https://youtu.be/H8efNdG7au4?si=Pcvp2qj5AnW4CdAB Shorter video version here :https://youtu.be/FM5SWTlOv2Q?si=kxvjLEYQMVIvGHQq One of the biggest advantages for the planet is that once industrial hemp materials and plastics and textiles are composted, they break down completely within 90 days. This is a huge improvement over other bioplastics (that don’t always break down completely without special processing and a lot of harmful chemicals) or conventional plastics that take 500 years or more to breakdown. And really, they are just guessing; no conventional plastics made from petro chemicals are showing any signs of breaking down once buried in landfills.
