I love the idea of Industrial Hemp houses. I am amazed by Industrial hemp and how you can use the hemp fibers to replace wood and steel (Stronger than steel, actually), hempcrete to replace cement ( 10 times stronger ) and hemp cellulose to replace any conventional plastic (four times stronger and not brittle like other bioplastic) and even glass. Hemp textiles , hemp wood, and plastics can be used for interior fittings, furniture, curtains and other interior decor. The insulation made of hemp is incredible as an insulator and naturally pest resistant, anti fungal and antibacterial. No dust, and nothing toxic in any of these materials. Great for those with allergies. Great for all of us. Sound proof too. Hemp ethanol and methanol can be used to power houses and hemp carbon batteries are showing great promise as a superior replacement for lithium batteries (non toxic, long lasting, more powerful). Hemp buildings are breathable, healthy, quiet, strong and safe for living and working. is fire proof and water resistant (flood resistant). I love ‘Just biofiber’s‘ idea of making hempcrete like ‘Lego blocks’ that can be stacked to build houses - and large ones- in a couple of days. This is a huge improvement over other bioplastics (that don’t always break down completely without special processing and a lot of harmful chemicals) or conventional plastics that take 500 years or more to breakdown. And really, they are just guessing; no conventional plastics made from petro chemicals are showing any signs of breaking down once buried in landfills.
