The new model GPT-4o (o standing for 'omni') was released on Monday May 13 th! - while the previous model GPT4 transitions to free use. Here are the key takeaways: - Even GPT-4o is available for free use but limited, e.g. only 3h per day and with certain restrictions - OpenAI wants to offer as much as possible for free (presumably to get test data) - GPT-4 OMNI understands various media formats better than before, such as audio, text, video, etc. - GPT-4o is practically at least 2x faster than before, which is noticeable even in test usage - GPT-4o seems to understand the emotional scale better than before, so the tone of conversations is also changing - ChatGPT has also gained memory — finally! So, you can tell AI what it should remember, and it can remember things even between different chats. Have you tried it yet?
