CME Market to NY
Hey everyone I just had a question on how to change my charts from the CME (Chicago) market to the NY market. It says in my settings that my time zone is NY but I don’t think that’s the same as the session I’m using since it still says I’m on CME on the market charts. I’m trying to change it with my iPhone if anyone knows how to do that. Thank you in advance for the help!

@Stephen Gerald Onyia Hey Stephen I was just wondering if you might have a link to purchase the CME market data? Thank you!

Tuesday Paper Trading
Got a couple of wins today in paper trading! Definitely my best day so far with practice. The first entry took care of itself but the second one was a roller coaster! Ended up closing the trade a little early which was a mistake because I would have had a bigger profit. Got to keep my emotions in check. The CEO MINDSET!

@Gabe Montoya Hey Gabe I’m mad at myself for deleting my demand and supply blocks so I tried to draw them again around where I had them before. I was really just playing on the bullish market trend we’ve been having for the last week or so and today and set up my trades accordingly. Still new at this especially setting up my supply and demand blocks in the correct areas.

@Gabe Montoya also one more thing I should mention is that I haven’t gotten the paid data for CME yet so my data on my charts is delayed by 10 min. I suggest you pay for the up to date data because it’s harder for me to make trades without the paid data that’s in real time. But I still need to practice. Kyle suggested I pay for the real time data and you definitely should.
Trade Closing by Itself
Good morning everyone. Just set up this trade not even 30 min ago and I was up around $400 and then I look at my chart again 5 min later and my entry has closed on its own without me even going into the TradingView app. Does anyone know why this might happen? Didn’t know the entries can just close on their own like that. Thanks for the help as always!

Trade Closing by Itself

@Mark Clarno I was just trying to perform a Jedi entry but I guess it could also be considered a Superman trade even though I made the trade entry on the 1 hour chart not the 5 min. I definitely need to run through the course material again because I clearly didn’t set up my Jedi entry correctly if it was kind of a Superman entry also haha.

Jedi Entry
Hello everyone. I wanted to post this Jedi trade entry I made in the afternoon yesterday (around 4pm) and my TP was 5,615.50 but the trend has moved passed that point and my trade still says it’s working and I haven’t seen the trade start to show a profit or loss. Is this because I set the trade up incorrectly or just because I made an entry at a bad time? The market has reached 5,620 and still no activity in the trade. Thanks in advance for the help ya’ll.

Thanks for the feedback ya I just went ahead and cancelled it no harm done. Just a learning experience. Need to learn when the best time to place a trade is or at least give me more of a chance of capturing when a decent move in the market happens. I’m pretty sure I just placed my entry too late.

EA Thoughts and Lessons
I opened my first EA last week, and thought that I might share some observations now that I have 2 trading days in (this is a novel, so you may want to grab a coffee if you intend on reading this): First, let me just say that mindset is of the utmost importance. If you haven't watched Kyle's CEO mindset lessons yet, make sure that's a priority. If you have, but you're still struggling, watch them again. I've been consistently trying to find more lessons on controlling my emotions and using the power of positivity to reshape my mentality even when I've made egregious mistakes. We are not the mistakes we make, we are the culmination of lessons learned from those mistakes. Secondly, research everything. I fully intended on researching Apex, Tradovate/Ninjatrader & the use of Tradingview before even paying for the EA. However, I rushed my decision to purchase and found myself frustrated by my own lack of understanding on how all of this relates. After two bad trades did I finally decide to stop trading and start learning all that I don't understand. Lastly, keep up with all major world events... EVEN THE WEATHER! LOL Let me explain: I didn't trade at all on my EA last week because I spent the bulk of that week preparing for a weekend trip and also trying to set up the EA for trading - remember, I didn't fully research any of this prior to purchasing my EA, so I'm already behind the 8 ball. I left Thursday and came back Monday, so my mindset was already not in the right place because I lost three days of trading. Then Tuesday I struggled for find any opportunities, which I allowed to further influence my mindset. So Wednesday I traded MNQ, and it was like I forgot most of what I'd learned from Kyle and from my own practice sessions. I have very little experience with the Jedi strategy, but decided that was the best way to go. I'm down $277. Ugh... stop trading for today. It wasn't the strategy, but the lack of practice given to it and just bad discipline. Also, Wed CPI data was released which could greatly affect the Nasdaq. I even asked about this on this site before the trade, but didn't wait for the answer before jumping into this trade.

Thanks for all that info Liam it’s crazy how things you might not think are directly tied to the market influence (weather) can have a huge effect on trades that are made during those weather events. Keep going and keep practicing you’re obviously doing something right if you know where you need to fix things.

@Liam McCusker That’s a great mindset to have. Mistakes are a part of learning! I don’t think there has been one person who got into day trading or most professions and instantly had success without any training, practice or teaching. I feel very fortunate to have found this page and have Kyle, Ryan, and others as great teachers who just want us all to succeed. I feel like day trading is one of the most important skills someone could ever learn. Passive income is something we all want and strive for.
