New Amex Transfer Bonus!
New Amex Transfer Bonus! 30% Transfer Bonus To Virgin Atlantic! There are some amazing sweet spots you can take advantage of with this offer. Examples below. Like Delta One Business Class as low as 39k points JFK to Frankfurt or Reykjavík and just $5.60 in taxes one way per person. Delta charges 200,000-400,000 points for the same flight! (See pictures below) Fly to London - but be aware Virgin charges a lot of taxes for their own operated flights compared to airline partners. Major US Hubs to London one way per person in; Economy from 8k points and $151 Premium Economy 14k points and $450 Business Class 37k points and $1000 While taxes are high availability is usually pretty easy to find compared to other award seats. Great for large families or last minute trips. Points and the high taxes can still be a good deal compared to cash prices. Especially with the 30% bonus factored in. Find ITA Airways Business Class from select major US Hubs to Rome from 58k points one way per person and $5.60 in taxes. See example below Boston to Rome. Find Air France Business Class to Paris or Amsterdam etc from 38k points and $200-380 one way per person. See example below Chicago to Paris. This transfer bonus lasts through the end of May 2024. Definitely take advantage of it if you can!

April Flying Blue Promo Deals
The first of the month means new Flying Blue Promo Fares. They are offered on the first weekday of each new month. You can get great deals on flights to or from Europe with these offers. Especially if you can combine these deals with a transfer bonus from your bank like the current 25% bonus with UR Points. You must book in April and travel has to be before Sept 30th 2024. Economy One Way 15k points from; Atlanta Boston Washington DC Chicago This is 25% off normal price of 20k. This would only be 12k UR points. Premium Economy One Way 17,500 from Quebec. This is 50% off normal price of 35k. This would only be 14k UR points. Business Class One Way 37,500 from Montreal. This is 25% off the normal price of 50k. This would only be 30k UR points. Flying Blue is one of my favorite programs and continues to be one of the best ways to get to Europe on points and miles. It is also a transfer partner of most the major bank systems. What is your favorite redemption that you have booked with the Flying Blue Program? So far I have done Boston to Paris in economy round trip for 2 in September 2022 which was non promo and around 30k points a person round trip. Next month I am flying Virgin Atlantic Business Class on the A350-1000 which I booked on Air France IAD to LHR for 80k and $200 one way. Which is expensive but much cheaper than Virgin directly when they charge 47,500 points and $1000 one way. If I would have caught the UR transfer bonus it would have only been 64k points instead of 80k. I missed it by a day. I also still might have saved my UR points for Hyatt redemptions and used Cap1/Amex. The best deal I have booked with Flying Blue was Washington DC IAD to Amsterdam for 25k points round trip in economy. Which was a promo fare at the time. I do plan to fly Air France and KLM Business Class eventually. Have you experienced either of those business class products? What did you think about them? The new Air France 777 seats look amazing.

Family Travel
Any specific cards you recommend for a family of 4 for points and travel? I have about 70k chase points and 80k Amex points. I don't think that's enough to travel but any tips and tricks would help

Delta One Suites Flight Example
Another great example of the power of points and miles when transferring out to transfer partners. Found a really great points flight for someone. Wanted to share it with you guys. Please read to the end for all the details. I found 3 seats in Delta One Suites from West Coast to Australia for April 2024. (They are still available as I post this) I was contacted about someone looking for 3 seats to Australia from Washington DC in April 2024. For those of you that know the points and miles world you know this is a hard ask. This last minute and looking for 3 seats is near impossible. But I gave it my all. Best results for points bookings I usually find 354 days out. Best results for New Zealand and Australia are normally found from the east coast. Don't be afraid of a cheap cash positioning flight to the airport where you can find a points deal out if. So many people don't find deals because of lack of flexibility in dates, departure or arrival airports, or only looking to fly Direct from point A to Point B. The client was about to book economy flights for 3 people from DC to Sydney for 600k Amex points in the portal for 3 people round trip in Economy. ($6,000 cash price, Amex points only worth 1 cent per point in portal) They reached out to me wanting to find business class. So I looked on my normal favorite tool seats.aero to see what I could find. Nothing from the East Coast so moved to the West. I was able to find an awesome deal with all things considered. 3 seats from LAX to Sydney in Delta One Suites Round Trip. April 16th 165k points and $37.90 one way per person Return April 29th 165k and $90 one way per person 990k points and $354 The cash price of these same flights is almost $29,000 dollars. Sometimes you can find these flights as low as 80-90k one way per person through Qantas or other partners but this is an incredible deal for a last minute flight for 3 that is near impossible to find. Other times I see them in the 100k-130k range on Qantas. With the cheaper options normally it's only 1 or 2 seats available. It all depends on many factors. For best results I like to search as far out as possible 355 days in advance for most airlines.
