Dear Ayla
So very grateful to have discovered the practice of Yoga Nidra and your YouTube channel. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and generalized anxiety disorder and your practices have helped ameliorate those "issues" in a huge way as well as improving my sleep. You have helped with my self confidence as well as helping me achieve a healthy level of equanimity. I practice a minimum of 6 nights a week right before bed and the impact has just been incredible. It has also aided me with my addiction issue. I love your "targeted" practices because they help very specific areas of overall mental health. I have learned to let go of those thoughts and memories that don't serve me on my path which requires very diligent practice on my part but the results have been fantastic. So incredibly grateful for all that you do. I intend to make your sessions a consistent part of my healthy journey. Many kind regards.

@Jason Brooker Ah I’m from Devon! All my family is still there.. I grew up on the edge of Dartmoor. The DT poem he asked me to read was ‘The Dying of the Light’.. but in the end he found peace which is all we can wish for

@Jason Brooker Ah yes it is.. sorry I didn’t google it, just recalled its most prominent lines. Love the reclamation shop in Ashburton!

I’ve been practicing Yoga for around 20 years, some of those sessions over the years have been YN while others have obviously been all different types of physical asana Yoga. I’ve also been following a shamanic path actively for about ten years, and weirdly more recently mindfulness .. I practice YN irregularly during all sorts of other sessions and my womens group but it wasn’t until a year ago that I found Ayla and truly developed a regular practice. It was a profound experience. Almost a year to the day my then 4 yr old son was admitted to Intensive Care where we remained for two weeks, during that time we never left his side and I was obviously not sleeping. I read somewhere years ago that YN can give you the gift of about two hrs sleep and I clung to that in those darkest nights when we did not know if he would survive or be left with some lasting damage. Aylas gentle tones were there with me in the ICU and at all hours while I focussed on being grounded and present and not letting my mind spiral. All was well, as I type this my healthy little boy snores gently beside me and we have a normal christmas to look forward to. Thank you Ayla.
