Lecture by Professor Jasak - Recorder
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Hrvoje Jasak from the University of Cambridge to UFRJ's Escola de Química for a lecture designed for new postgraduate students. He told about the journey of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), including its history and exciting industrial applications. It was a great session that helped both postgraduate and undergraduate students to know this fascinating area of engineering. The lecture was recorded and is available in the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmBzIKPxlGU&list=PLlLNIDf07yx_dOFbNppMj-zutAxkiBG__&ab_channel=EscoladeQu%C3%ADmica . Posts about CFD on LinkedIn
Hello everyone. I recently took the initiative to create my laboratory's social networks. We are starting our posts and we will try to bring relevant topics to promote good scientific discussions. Today we are posting a little about our experience with the experimental PIV and Shadow Sizing techniques. Come and learn a little more about us and, if you like, like and follow us to receive our posts. The post link: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/labcfd-ufrj_piv-activity-7237938870183464961-tlsQ?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop Hugs to all!

Hello Everyone. Nice to meet you! My name is Nathan Francisco and I'm from Brazil, I currently live in Rio de Janeiro. If anyone travels here, we can arrange a coffee hahaha! I'm Chemical Engineer and currently I'm finishing my master's degree at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I'm working with CFD simulations for gas separation using hollow fiber membrane modules, focusing in scaleup. I use mainly the Ansys Package, but I have a good sense of OpenFOAM (and I use it sometimes). I'm relatively nem in CFD, but I have a great interest and respect for the area. I hope to be able to contribute and strengthen my base with you!

If you haven't done Fluent's own yet, I recommend starting with them. They give a good introduction to the software and some setup tips that can help with your simulations. To find them, go to fluent -> help -> on the website you will find the tutorials.
