Any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated. :) Thank you! It's peaking around -6 decibels right now so feel free to safely turn your volume up when listening. https://soundcloud.com/k2oofficial/work-in-progress/s-RzRCOGuUAun?si=c3f582ee69334109a54021b171a4890a&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Track Feedback
Hi guys, Can you please give me some feedback on this track -> https://on.soundcloud.com/en4NB I feel like is almost finished, but I still have to add some synth shots, maybe some snare/clap with effect and some white noise... Thank you. Daniel

I think you can find ways of automating elements in and out of the track using filter or volume automation. Love the vibe its going for! Basically what Adrian mentioned. :)
Been stuck on this for a few days
I've trial & errored so many synths, basses, leads, etc. over this project but for some reason nothing sounds good with it. Any ideas on how to get unstuck? I feel it has potential. Just not sure what to do at this point and I keep thinking about scraping it and starting over but I want to get finished tracks. Thanks in advance. https://soundcloud.com/k2oofficial/stuck/s-TyixzX0qZrL?si=b114847123ef4d85b2c28205ce81bb0d&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

How, where & when to release music?
Hey guys, some of you have requested a discussion about Releasing, so let me open this! Releasing music means sharing it publicly with the world! That's a massive step to do, as music is a very personal product of our creativity and showing it to everybody, blank & as it is, is quiet something. Yet, it is one of the most beautiful things for a musician to get great feedback from people, dancing to their music, smiling because of their melody, living their day to day live with their music and being deep in thoughts & emotions with their tracks. So it's probably fair to say almost every musician wants to release their music at some point - but there's a lot of obstacles to overcome. Let's tackle some of the biggest ones: - Finding a label or distributor that will release your music - Finding a GOOD label (or distributor) - Actually having solid promotion for the release To find a label is probably the hardest task - to find a good one is even harder. But what is a label exactly? Essentially, it's a platform for musicians to release their music with, typically led by another musician who selects the music for his labels via "demo submissions". They will do all the work like sending the EP/Album out to all the streaming & selling platforms like Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Beatport and more (for uploading it at the exact release date & time), generating an ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) for the track(s) (which is essentially like a unique barcode for your tracks to be recognized) and sometimes even more (like getting a Cover Design ready, making promotion, ...). The other option is to self-release music by either starting your own label or using the newborn distribution services. Honestly, I'm not really informed about those but there's plenty of services that will do the work a label would to (distributing the track(s) to streaming & selling platforms as well as giving it an ISRC). There can be issues with setting those up for exact release dates (& times) and it will have a certain prize per release. Some of the ones I know are distrokid & TuneCore, but if anyone has more experience on releasing via distribution services please share your knowledge! :)

I have a lot of experience to share regarding this topic (grab a drink/snack, this will be a long one boys! haha). I've been producing off and on for the past 15 years now under multiple aliases. I've always been the type of person that wanted to do everything himself. I produced, mixed, and mastered all my own tracks and one day eventually started my own label (Ownage Records) so I can self-release. I also used distrokid a few times. I've also released under dozens of other labels. After all these experiences I came to the realization that if you do everything yourself, you are essentially shooting yourself in the foot because the level of promotion your tracks get is minimal compared to signing it to an established label that's been around for years. Same thing when it comes to mastering your own tracks. You are much better off handing off your polished mix over to a mastering engineer with years of experience that uses outboard gear (this is also a good idea because objective perspective by a professional mastering engineer is way better than you mastering your own track after you mixed and produced it yourself. you will have biased ears). I found a great mastering engineer on Fiverr and I always send my mixes to him now (he has done mastering work for Beyoncee, Jay-Z, and a lot of really big names - even tho I hate all their music with a passion.) I eventually hit burn out and crashed hard. I took a very long time off from music (to focus on my day job/career in information security). I recently moved into my new house in Vegas and built my dream studio and that was maybe a few weeks ago (also when I joined this mentorship program to get back on my feet after the long hiatus). All this to say, don't try to do everything yourself. Start with basic local record labels and work your way up to bigger and better and more well-known labels. TAKE. YOUR. TIME. do not rush into things. I wish I knew this shit before. I would have saved myself a ton of head and heart aches. But here I am, starting all over again, but happily doing so because I love music. I love finishing art and having a sense of pride over it. There is nothing more meaningful in life than music.
Question (might be a stupid one but that's okay)
Lately I've been trying to write tracks and I get the idea and everything down but my call & response with the percussions and/or stabs don't mix well with my synth line. They are fighting each other instead of meshing together rhythmically and maybe harmoniously as well. Any Adivice? I'm still going through some techno courses and learning all over again after a really long break from producing.

@Adrian Schwengebecher Laperal Very helpful. I have one follow up question if I may. Do the percussive and stab sounds have to play with all the other elements in the track? Can I have the percussions/stabs play in certain sections of a track then the main drop parts just use the synth line? Or is that not proper techno structure? Thank you! :)
