Why I signed up for Nagina's course
I have been a professional weight loser. I've been playing this game of ups and downs since late high school. I was a practicing bulimic and binge eater through college running eight miles a day and still gaining weight because of my habits. My husband and I have done Weight Watchers more than once with success in losing, but not in keeping it off. In between we had an incredible life in Alaska where I was constantly on the go, however skipping meals was how I lost weight which I gave myself permission to eat treats or sugary items from time to time. I had a killer wardrobe and loved how I felt. Then we returned to the lower 48. During COVID we did Keto, however the program I chose was focused on his body type. He lost 50 pounds, but I gained. Then he gained it all back. We buy organic groceries all the time, however our life is such that we are often in a "fast food season" as my husband's career pulls him in multiple directions with little consistency; he's on-call 24/7. Starting day 2 of the 5-Day Metabolism Boost workshop gives me hope even with what I was able to implement on day 1 that my husband and I can be successful. More than anything, I'm curious to hear more of what she is teaching as I think it will build on what we have learned so far and begin to undo the negative thinking and shame/guilt we've experienced in the past. I love the mindsets. Good food for thought!

@Sandra Slaven Sandra, both my husband and I are prescription free - although we've been on antibiotics from time to time, but even learned that Oreganol caplets can be substituted for antibiotics (check with your doctor). As a functional medicine specialist told me some time ago, you either pay for it at the pharmacy or at the grocery store - - your choice. Thanks for sharing!

@Kathy Obrien Kathy - oreganol caplets are gel caps of six drops of oregano oil.
We are blessed
I don’t know about y’all (southern phrase meaning everyone listening), but I am so grateful to Nagina for her gifting us this class this week and next. I have struggled so long and often have gone to several grocery stores to purchase organic foods only to continue gaining weight or having belly fat. I love learning these tips and I hope others of you have been encouraged like I have. My integrative medicine doctor suggested I sign up as I’ve been working with her on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Thank you Nagina!!

I’ve really enjoyed working with Leah Lund of One Whole Health as well as Dr Keesha Ewers. I love that they both have been associated with Nagina. It gives you more confidence that you’re in the “right” place. Thx Jeanene

@Kathy Obrien I’m currently working with Dr Keesha on Libido improvement (aka overall vitality) and bio-identical hormone replacement. I did amino acid therapy, brain chemistry work and trauma healing with Leah Lund. Both women are remarkable and like Nagina said you want to work with providers who know their stuff and have been through it themselves. Best of luck Kathy.

@Brenda Carey Brenda, over the past 5 years, I have been addressing health responses as they related to childhood AND adult trauma. During one of my sessions, my somatic therapist said that the most important promises are the ones we make to ourselves. I learned that I could value me when others around me hadn't made me feel valued. It's kind of like the old L'Oreal commercial where they say "Cause I'm worth it." You are one of God's masterpieces and YOU ARE WORTH IT. Make that promise to yourself and don't hesitate to step out. ❤️❤️❤️

@Kathy Obrien Kathy, I put a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon in my vanilla chamomile tea and it wasn’t bad. The cinnamon struggled a bit to try to stay on top, but the outcome was good. Definitely worth trying again.

@Nagina Abdullah So glad to know this. I eat blue berries all the time, and actually I prefer the combination of berries as some can be more bitter than others. Thank you!

Thank you for this tutorial. Like Margaret, social media isn't a "go to" for me, although I do surf it on occasion. Being a woman on the other side of midlife (age 60+), I'm computer literate, but not comfortable with the lack of privacy so many social media platforms provide.
