Quick announcement
This past month was a bit insane: countless doctor appointments, one surgery attempt which failed, countless trips between Poland and warsaw, turning 30. And hopefully, after next week, I will have a boring life for at least 6 months. Thanks for bearing with me (I hope I didn't cause too much trouble). Next week, I will finally, get my nose fixed, so I will be able to breathe. I will get a septoplasty (straightening my broken nose), which will allow me to remove my polyps, which will allow me to get rid of sinusitis. So next week I might have to cancel most, if not all calls, because I will be in hospital, and I'm unsure what I can do or not do yet. I will have to move the Sunday's calls on Saturday (tomorrow), because Sunday I will be traveling all day to the country where I will be getting the surgeries. Again, I apologies if I messed some things up, next week will be the last week, when this will happen

Hope everything goes well with the surgery! No worries, please have a rest and take things easy. Everything else can wait :)
Interview calls
Let's have a fun but informative poll about interview calls. I'll go first. Apart from the freelancing gig that kept me away from the main program for 3 months or so, I honestly admit I was scared to come to interviews. I always felt that I don't know things and eventually I would make a fool of myself. But... I thought about the benefits of coming to the interviews. Building confidence in showing up. Being more involved in the program aka becoming more accountable. Improving language skills ( React is a library and not a framework!) Receiving live feedback from Cristian and knowing areas I need to improve at. Improving my reaction time. Rn when I see an algo or am presented with an app to build, I tend to freeze and I am not able to clearly think about what I have to do. So repeating this process over and over will help me fix this. I tend to overcomplicate things. Using methods when I don't need it and so on. I 💯 believe regularly coming to the interviews will help me improve all these things and more. It will help me be better prepared for real interviews. What would be the main takeaway for you coming to the interviews?

Yes, that would be so helpful. Thanks
Algos
I've been going through the algos section and got a bit stuck on this one (https://www.codewars.com/kata/559e10e2e162b69f750000b4/train/javascript) I'm passing the test but failing when I click attempt. Would appreciate if someone could have a look at my solution and point me in the right direction :/ My solution: https://codepen.io/rajea-bilal/pen/MWNOxeV?editors=0012

Interview Questions
Just wondering if there's a resource or document that we can use to review common interview questions for JavaScript and React? It would be helpful to make anki cards out of those and review them regularly. If anyone has collected something similar, would appreciate if they could share it here :)

From the website (https://www.greatfrontend.com/prepare/quiz), do you HTML/CSS/JS questions or just JS?

@Mioara Cenusa Right, phew 😅
Got Hired!
Hey guys, hope you are all doing well. I got hired as a front end engineer for a company in London recently! I also got accepted to build a booking system app for a retreat centre in Portugal and am working as a project manager/ front end developer for that project. The road to getting into tech has been a long and hard one, but definitely building the crypto app was a huge benefit - the interviewers really liked it a lot. Also working on the squared app was crucial in getting the job as there were a lot of questions on Agile and examples of team work etc. I really hope this message motivates you guys to continue coding and becoming better developers, it will pay off . Just follow essentially whatever Cristean says and you will get a job 😂
