My story - Struggle to Success
Be prepared - this is a long post. But I wish to share this to inspire you. Back in 2017-2019, I was going through one of the toughest periods of my life. My wife and I had just welcomed a newborn baby, and while that should have been a time of joy, we were struggling financially. My salary wasn’t enough to support us, and the small side business I had wasn’t doing well either – overhead costs were too high, and I wasn’t making nearly enough to cover them. It got so bad that I remember at one point, I had to call my dad out for coffee. But it wasn’t just to catch up – I needed to borrow money from him to help cover our overheads, overdue loans, and debts. I still remember how difficult that conversation was. My wife was in the same situation. She reached out to her dad, too, because we were both trying to keep things afloat. It was a low point, feeling like we were stuck in a financial trap we couldn’t get out of. I knew I needed to earn more, not just for myself but for my growing family. I remember staying up late every night, trying to figure things out, searching for a way to break free. That’s when I stumbled upon digital marketing and discovered Russell Brunson. I signed up for all his courses, learning everything I could about building funnels and creating an online business. Every night, I’d be at my desk, tired but hopeful, trying to build something that could change our future. But there was a big problem: I had nothing to sell. No course, no service – just a lot of knowledge with no way to turn it into income. So, I shifted gears and started with affiliate marketing. I began promoting ClickFunnels, earning a 40% commission, which came to about $38.80 per sale each month. It was recurring income, which was a huge relief, but the challenge was still there – I had a $97/month subscription to cover, which meant I needed at least three consistent sales just to break even. It was tough. Some months, I’d get by; other months, it felt like I was stuck in the same place, constantly chasing after the next sale just to stay afloat.
