I hit 1 million pounds lifted on my tonal this morning and my shin splint is 90% healed, so I was able to run 2 miles. I've had a terrible few days of hives and this mornings workout really lifted my spirits. As I was running, it dawned on me what I ate to give me hives...I clean and save my bacon fat and use a small amount to cook with and I didn't even think about the histamine content in the bacon fat. Boom...problem solved. This week I will be extremely diligent on everything I eat to avoid histamines.

I have had a painful shin splint for the last week, I need to let it heal before I can run on it. My win is that I'm continuing to do my indoor hiit workout and walk every day. In the past, I would use an injury as an excuse to not exercise at all. Now, I continue working out because it is a true habit not something I "have to do." I truly enjoy exercising, not for an end goal, but for the instant gratification of stress relief and accomplishment that it gives me. (and my dog won't leave me alone till she gets a walk. Best work out buddy ever!) My challenge this week is exercising and continuing healthy eating while I travel for work. I got this 💪

Hello All, Rita here. Thank you for the invite @LeNae Goolsby, JD I've been seeing Dr Goolsby for 8 weeks now for Grave's disease. I've been on a health journey trying to save my thyroid from surgery happy endocrinologists for 7 years. Happy to find a Dr that balances mind, body, spirit along with pharmaceuticals.
